Error with GB

Hello everyone, I am currently using a laptop (abit old) HP Pavilion zv5000 since my desktop burned out. I was able to run GB and HB without any issue on my desktop, tho now that I try to run it on this laptop I get this error with both GB and HB :

"This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem" .

I get this message when I try to run as administrator the workaround GB file, or the executable HB file. Does anyone know what could possibly cause this issue?

no need to run the workaround for Gb anymore


on what OS are you?

I am using Windows XP SP1 and I get this error even when I try to run as administrator GB.exe (without the workaround)

no need for right click and run as admin on Windows XP

run it as usual

also make sure that you are on net framework 3.5 sp1

Do you think post #9 there could fix the issue with GB ?

Yeah exactly this is what I found aswell, my laptop is very old and possibly this could be the issue, I will download now and see if it works.

install all windows updates+net framework using the link i gave you above
