I have read the installation instructions, unblocked all .dll files, and downloaded both C++ files. I see the ryfomate launcher window with my character's name as the process.

I get this when trying to attach:

make sure that you are trying to run Rift it as admin using the "riftpatchlive" file and not the shortcut

Yes, Tony, I have done both of those things. As I said in my original post, I have read the instructions. I followed them exactly.

I won't be on my pc until 6 hours from now because I am at work. I will uninstall Ryftomate and then try the process again.

It looks like a security issue. Do you have a firewall or antivirus installed that could be blocking it?

I only use that computer for gaming. I keep my mac on the side for web browsing so I have the firewall disabled on the gaming pc in question.

As for the antivirus, I do have Comodo but it isn't running. I only use it for scans from time to time. I will check into that also when I get home.

Update:

I was finally able to attach the file. I did three things.

1. Removed WinZip and installed WinRar.
2. Removed Ryftomate and reinstalled it.
3. Used WinRar to extract it.

Now, I don't know which one actually fixed the problem; but I do know that the only thing that I did differently this time around was to use WinRar instead of WinZip. I didn't do anything different to my antivirus settings.

Hope this helps someone out in the future.
