Engineering/Alch - Any options to make gold?

If those are my only two maxed professions, what would you guys suggest I do to make money?

Apparently I can't gather volatiles with engineering because it requires either herbalism or mining as well :/.

I don't have any other high level chars (yet) that I can put gathering professions on. On my old server I had like every profession but I've started fresh and I'm a bit lost on how to make gold with less resources.

Those two combinded don't really give you any benefit, you should drop one and go for herbing/mining. My suggestion is to drop alch and get mining, do the firelands daily's get those recipes and make em + volatile air ofcourse.

You can get Volatile Fire and water easily but fishing, volatile earth by killing Obssidium in Firelands, they usually drop 3 each. Life and Air i pretty much get them from skinning and if i get lucky when i get a bloaded stomach, thats where i get life and Air from.
