This is what I'm thinking: We're at the end of the expansion, and Honorbuddy won't sell much more, at least, till MoP arrives... So, why would they bother with new features they won't make profit from? Developing new bots such as Star Wars Bot and Diablo 3 Bot are much, much more profitable at this moment. So, the best solution is to sell Dungeonbuddy as a new bot... I would gladly pay for it. Perhaps this is a way to motivate HB team to put more time and effort in DungeonBuddy... I mean... If they have time to develop not one but two bots while DungeonBuddy is still frozen, a monetary reward will certainly make them move faster...
Just my 2 cents. If you want to sell dungeonbuddy as a stand alone bot, i will buy it.
Dungeonbuddy will be priceless and will add a lot of value to Honorbuddy, as dungeon leveling is way faster and better than quest leveling, not to mention much easier to actually script and maintain.
You can clear Northrend in 4 hours with Instancebuddy provided you can babysit it, and with a truly AFK'able dungeon bot everyone will kill to get their hands on Honorbuddy, especially once the level cap becomes 90.
People with tons of alts will need to level them all up and gear them, and a working dungeon bot will be very valuable.
Now, you may say why are they putting so much effort into Honorbuddy now at the end of Cata ?
Because bot development is not easy and when MoP comes out obviously the Buddy Team want a working, complete, bot ready for the new content.
Here is what the current state of HB is.
1. Most CC's are either outdated or seriously lacking.
2. Kick's questing profiles are still not fully scripted to support Cata at all, so there is no way to just skip Cata and move on to MoP. Stuff needs to be completed and that's that, or you won't be able to move on to MoP questing.
3. Dungeons are in horrible condition, with only select few working, and they are not fully AFK on top of that. Dungeonbuddy has been in development for almost all of Cata and it's a tough task you can't complete over night, so if they aim to make it ready for MoP, they need to keep working all the time.
4. Most Diablo bots are insecure and will quickly get people banned, so no need to worry about HB losing too much market to competition. People eventually will settle for the slower and buggier, but safe bot, when they see they have no alternative.
