3 accounts lost

I would never do it again, I did it for 4 days and got banned on 2 accounts, got disconnected on both within 2 seconds of eachother, and got this message on both acc's email:

***NOTICE OF LICENSE TERMINATION***

Account: WOW1
Offense: Use of Bots or Third-Party Automation Software

Blizzard has terminated this World of Warcraft license after identifying the usage of bots or other cheat software.

These programs (commonly called cheats, bots, and hacks) automate certain aspects of gameplay, or provide unintended advantages and abilities to the player. This type of cheating undermines other players' experience and severely upsets the balance of the game environment.

Blizzard reserves the right to terminate access for conduct of this nature, with or without warning, as noted in the World of Warcraft Terms of Use:
Blizzard Entertainment:World of Warcraft Terms of Use

Regards,
Blizzard Entertainment

I think that they are tracking on how many instances you have recently went to, and then the system will flag you and you will be investigated by a gm.
My third account which I just dinged 80 and got it to run like 20 dungeons, didnt get banned however. I guess that account wasn't farming at the time the flags were made. This was done in Botanica with script called Botanist Botanica

E: Not to mention they were entirely separate accounts, bought from battle.net and they were on different realms.

same here, lost 3 accounts after 3 hours a day of farming. likely due to a combination of player reports and kph trigger.

The poll given asks the wrong question. Farming ANYTHING will be profitable. What we want to know is how profitable? And whether we could do something else that gives us MORE.
A better poll would be to rate WHICH money-making activity gives you the most profit (grinding, dungeons, gathering, crafting, disenchanting etc.)

Once upon a time I used to make a fortune just gathering vendor recipes and posting them on the AH. Then the server population crashed.

IMNSHO making money really depends on what kind of server you are on, as well as their population and faction mix.

For example, on many RP servers you make more money selling armor/weapons than disenchanting because of the transmog potential. Dungeon farming can really work here.

On PvP servers, crafting full PvP sets can make lots of gold. On such servers you want to get to max level asap just so you aren't continually ganked.
PvP servers also tend to LESS profit potential from crafting bags, pets or mounts as well as less of a market for lower level mats (though they still get bought fairly consistently, there's just not any real profit in them).

Vendors on every server buy blue/green/epic items for the same amount. Dungeon farming will work on any server with as many bots as you want to run, and they don't affect one another. If you want more gold, run more bots. They pay for themselves.

More profit per bot = less bots for same profit. Not all botters are gold sellers. We just want enough gold for our own use. With limited bots, we want to maximize our profits.

I can understand that. But let me give you an analogy. If you have 10k white sheep, and you stand there and watch me add 1 more white sheep to the flock; could you keep up with the last one I added?

Now, same scenario, but add a black sheep. Very easy to see the black sheep.

Apply that same scenario to Wow. You have 6 million white sheep (non botters) and you add 20 k black sheep (botters), each has different habits. It's now easy to pick out the black sheep, unless you make your black sheep white by acting like a non botter. To do that, you must bot the same parameters as a non botter.

Optimizing your nph per play time on a repetitive basis makes you a black sheep.

IMO: You are so wrong about this one... Thats what legit players do: 1-2 hours farmig session with high NPH. Long sesions, with average results - thats how boters farm. I think you forgot how it is farming without bot, I still remember - some research on internet first, routes addon, no breaks for 1- 2 hour = few k gold more.

With bots on every server, in pretty much every zone, I wouldn't think any non botter would have a high NPH count especially since most of the profiles concentrate on areas with high node concentrations. That may have been the case 4 yrs ago. In fact I don't expect there are very many hand farmers left in the game after competing with HB for the past 4 yrs.

Yeah it costs 400 dollars a day....

Seriously now it doesn't cost much to leave ur computer on 24/7 but it depends where you live.
It's not like you earn alot either, just pointed it out so you wouldn't forget about it.

Depending on ur setup it could actuly add up to be a pretty noticable penny.

For example my setup, running at approx 600W/h and thats the computer alone without the 3 monitors connected too it. With a price of 0.2$ per 1KW that results in...

600*24 = 14400 => 2.84$ / day => 85$/month

And that is as I said for the computer alone, running 1 wow on the lowest graphics @1920*1280 with my setup.

Could anybody tell me how to farm dungeons successfully? because I always get instance lock, or is this normal? Do i have to run a single profile for lets say 30 min and then switch to another one for other 30 min? I have been doing it for an hour and i thinks that's too much.
Greeting!

The instance lock is normal. You can only run 5 dungeons per hour. That's a limitation from WoW.

The trick to any operation is as Botanist said. If you are wolf then be a wolf in sheep's clothing. Think about how you would act if you were playing by hand and then get your bot to act accordingly.

Its profitable, like 300-400g/hour. Your accounts last maybe a week. That is if you're soloing like Forge of Souls or HoL or maybe grim batol.

HoL is like, 2-3 days at max. then you'll get a ban ;)

Anyone here farming MoP dungeons with a 5 man bot crew? How is that for gold?

Wrong.....I have been farming instances for years but I farm like a player would if you want to farm the same instance over and over and over again you're dumb your a bot not a human....humans get bored after a hour or so.....soooo......If you get what I am trying to say you can bot for years and never get banned but you prob will never get what I am trying too say most people on these forums dont. For the ones that do call me the master
