D's Slave Pens - Instance Rep Farming for Cenarion Expedition

READ THIS FIRST

Works with HB1 only

Works with RaF for HB1 if you're just interested in instance levelbot runs

Both the profile and mesh need to be in the same folder or you can edit the profile to allow it to locate the mesh where you normally would keep it.


Why I Made This
Well, a couple of reasons. Firstly I was curious as to if it has been done or if it was possible at all. From my time spent on the forum there are many reason why people more qualified than myself have opted not to create instance profiles/mesh files. Some encounters are just to complex to be worth the effort of coding a custom class specifically handling boss fights etc as well as the fact these mobs will not re-spawn :P.

Secondly I wasn't happy with the current rep farming profiles for Cenarion Expedition (borean ear collecting) although such profiles are 100% automated I wanted something extra. Soloing this on heroic with a 80 geared tank is a blast and you get rep for each kill in addition to the rep items that can be turned in. Coilfang-armaments for example.

Lastly, I personally know a few people who have been asking for instance profiles/mesh files for various reasons and since there were none available to be had I took a little time to try my hand and created this. Feel free to add, remove, or overhaul anything I've done because if you can make this better for the community that's a win for everyone involved. You gotta start somewhere right. Don't hate if you don't like it - just don't use it! There is no support for these - but feel free to post any feedback or constructive observations in this thread.


Semi - Automation
What I mean by that is, this profile works like a cassette tape in that you need to change the profile and mesh from part1 to part2 when you reach a specific point in the instance. Also you will need to position your characters at the start of the second part mesh. See images for a visual reference to the part2 mesh starting area. Part1 of course starts at the same point you enter the instance.

Issues
I've been testing over and over and it seems to work well - Probably better with a nice size Raf party. So far I've ran my 80 tank through it and the only issue he runs into is on the first boss Mennu the Betrayer. Due to his totem's which seemingly can be used regarless of how much mana he currently has, even a well geared 80 will have issues trying to dps through the healing his totems can do. Sometimes he will place upto 3 healing totems and it's an endless fight. So, I had to manually attack the totems to make him proceed. Unless you have a CC that can attack npc summoned totems you'll need to do the same here.

Additionally any unstuck move that can cause your character to maneuver around the map has a chance to land you in one of the many watery areas causing you to stop because there is no path from some points in water to connect to a resumable path - although this has only happened to me once you should be aware.

UPDATE RaF worked flawlessly with only 2 in the group. Be careful of the follow distance used, if following from > 15 yards you may have issues. I remade the files to allow for wide turns and it should help with party members falling behind or getting suck.

UPDATE Water issues have pretty much been fixed now. Let me know if anyone has issues with water.

UPDATE Profiles and mesh files are updated - These ones are working better than any previous versions.
