Druid CC - Expressions of interest and ideas

I hope its not too late in development for this kind of change but I would really like to see something like this (explanation first, idea second)

feral dps is a complicated thing with three primary dps mechanics that rely on combo points: Savage Roar, Rip, and Ferocious Bite. How you use these abilities is highly dependent on the duration of the fight.

For long (read: Boss) fights, it goes something like this: Build combo points, use Savage Roar, build combo points, use Rip, build combo points, and if you have time use Ferocious Bite, otherwise refresh Savage Roar or Rip.

obviously HB is going to be doing fights that last 30seconds or less most of the time. In these situations, it is very inefficient to use the long rotation and will just draw out the fight instead.

For short fights basically all you do is build combo points and use Ferocious Bite. you may use Savage Roar depending on how long the fight is or if you are chain pulling, that I think is preference.

so my idea is this: I would like to be able to tell your CC which combo point finishers to use, in order, and how many combo points to get before using the finisher. its really not necessary to do a 5 point Savage Roar and then a 5point Ferocious Bite while grinding, but maybe it would be nice to have a 1point Savage roar for the quick buff and a 3point Ferocious Bite because 5 is overkill. then if maybe I want to go hard hitting in pvp or a dungeon i can switch it up to more combo points.

I had THE best botting moment last night...

My Druid was grinding / botting away in RR - it has been for a couple of days - I had it set to buff and heal players if within range; as usualy I was sitting at my development PC watching the action. It buffed a guy as he ran past, moments later the guy died, once he rezed it buffed him again. As his health was in the specified limit it threw a Regrowth on him.

The guy whispered me and said "Thanks for that, but I though you were a bot because you've been grinding here for a couple days". :D About 10-15 minutes later my druid was running past the guy and threw another Regrowth on him - he pulled a few too many mobs - the mobs aggroed on the druid so it helped kill everything. Once the fight had finished it threw another heal on him and left :D

NOW THAT IS WHAT A REAL CC SHOULD DO!!!

Oh yes man! That is REALLY cool :-) i can not wait for your cc.... the gui looks great!!!

Thank You, fpsware for finally starting a Feral Druid CC. I have been crying for changes to the Hawker Druid CC, but they have enough problems and work to do with HB itself. But it was my only option. Cant wait til your CC is live.

Yea, I agree. But for simplicity sake, I say you could just stick with the good 'ol - FFF, Rake, Mangle, and Ferocious Bite. Works good enough for a CC.

FPS that is a fantastic setup and exactly what i was thinking on, I cant wait for the first beta to try this out. I wish i could give you more than my praise here on the forums but unfortuneately times are hard, but when i make a gold sale i will certainly put something your way.

just wanted to put out there that Tiger's Fury is not something you use on cooldown, it is used to restore 60 energy. some kind of logic to use it after a finisher or after building combo points would make sense to me, but in the grand scheme of things its not a huge deal for grinding.

god i cant wait for a stable beta lol im so excited, i have a 58 druid just waiting for this release, been waiting to push on specifically for an updated FPS druid CC

Increase damage done by X for Y seconds.

I would say to use it if targets HP > than 40% or even if its lower and you have adds.

this is correct fps but the talent King of the Jungle (http://www.wowhead.com/spell=48495) also makes tiger's fury give you 60 energy back, and to use it on cooldown regardless of how much energy you currently have is kind of a waste. on the other hand its not a game changer either way, so meh.

What he said; the King of the Jungle part of the TF is what makes it ubah and is what you should aim for the CC to make use of.

Ok I guess I need to add a number of conditional on use options for Tiger's Fury. So, what conditions need to be met to use TF?

Adds, mobs health > X%, your energy < X% etc... Give me as many examples as possible and I'll make the UI for it.

I simply changed the TF code to check if Me.CurrentEnergy < 40. It has such a short cooldown that I didn't really worry about the remaining health.
