ok, I dont think this one has been asked yet... or at least a quick search didnt find it.

I live in Thailand, and internet here is... well, slow.

I use WTFast which brings my latency down to 500ms or so, which is acceptable for gaming, but it makes for downloading meshes a right pain.

I have noticed that the mesh files are cached, and that in most cases the files are fairly tiny and numerous, but it takes forever to download them when needed...

To make matters worse, I have 6 computers here that I bot with, so the meshes have to be downloaded multiple times per tile.

So, is there a way to download the entire mesh set in a Zip or Rar file so I can manually extract it to each computer to speed up the bot a bit? I know its a long shot... but have to ask!

(heck, or a way - maybe a "trick" profile or something) to force HB to download all the meshes? I could leave that running overnight and just copy them over to the other PCs the next morning.

Any input is appreciated here...

To give an example, it just took 475 seconds to download the mesh to take me from a Ungoro dig site to a S. Barrens dig site. That makes the bot SOOO slow :/
 
have you tried with WTFast disabled?
cause tools like this can cause problems to Hb
 
Ya, I did... I only signed up for WTFast a couple days ago... it helps a ton actually. Latency used to be 1000 or so, now between 200-500. MUCH better.

No change on HB tho... WTFast only redirects packets from wow.exe

on another user a similar program was causing a lot of Hb issues
it wasnt WTFast tho
 
Hmm.

Well, other then speed when DLing meshes, HB works fine. I run it all day when I'm awake with 2+ toons (usually grouped) and rarely have a issue with HB, other then the usual looting/skinning/botlike stuff. (which may be fixed now - just upgraded tonight and have not run anything but Arch yet).
 
Any movement on this? I would like to propagate my mesh cache as well if its possible... It would be awesome if it could just have all current ones then update as required later.
 
best thing to do is let it run Arch on each continent for a few hours... and then you won't really have to download much after that :)
 
Funny you should mention that its what I wanted it for :) Bloody thing takes a while for 20mb of files hahaha

Guess I will just leave it go!
 
I agree, could anyone upload their cache to **********?
 
cache doesn't matter, it downloads encrypted files from your username iirc

Maybe we could get a 'manually update meshes' in a future version...
 
But if it is encrypted with some per-account type hashing and it will eventually cache the entire lot anyways still seems silly to have it slowly trickle down...

It's just it takes so long some times I get DC from both wow and HB at times. :(

But all that said I love the way it handles everything automatically (GB as well) and keeps track of version etc as it all updated centrally with my account, brilliant app in many ways :D
