Set everything to give IB a test run last night.

80 Disc Priest: Ensemble CC
Queued and got BRC
Zoned in, tank get set properly
Tank pulls and he starts dpsing the entire time

85 Resto Shaman: Shamwow CC
Got Lost city
Zoned in, went to the first groups with the tank and earth shielded properly.
Tank pulls and the shaman just goes into dpsing and we wipe.

It could be something on my and I'm happy to post logs for whatever is needed.

Yes please attach a log files. There is usually a wealth of information on the log files that help us resolve problems.

Shamwow has an option in its config under RAF/instances tab that you select what you want the bot to do:
Combat Only,
Healing over combat,
Healing Only.
As far as the priest.. I believe its the same... you have to tell the CC what you want to do, alot of the ccs will also dps while healing as later on it helps to regen mana. My 85 shammy will cast a few lightning bolts here and there to regen a little mana when damage is being controlled

Disable smite, on holy and disable wand.. it will heal just fine.. I have used instancebuddy with two priests 1-60... works great....

Works great for healing for me.

Ran 3 dungeons last night with my bot pally as a healer.

Did Blackrock Caverns twice and Stone Core once with 2 Bots + Me, a Friend, and Nephew farming rep (Friend plays Tank and Me and newphew are dps classes) And instance buddy handled it really well

I was wondering your set up are u using a different CC or did u just us IB and Que because when I tried to heal on my pally it just went in and dps'd

Using an 85 Pally with Holy Spec and Ensemble CC

I invite him to group and ensemble detects he is healer and heals throughout the dungeon, he does 0 attacking as he is always bottom of dps as he should.

I just used this CC and it works great finally got my pally to heal a random ty!

np, glad it helped you

The CC seems to heal really well from my experience with it so far. I even used it to heal the same group I used in those dungeons in the Weekly Raid to Kill Anub whatever in Nax.

Of course that is easy with 85s but he kept players alive greatly

Depending on the specific Disc spec, you may not want to disable smite, as talented, smite will actually smart-heal the friendly target nearest to the enemy for the same amount of healing as damage done. You can set it to only do so when above a user-defined mana percentage, so as not to go OOM by adding DPS. But for well geared tanks, smite spam is enough to keep em up, and the added DPS just makes the run faster. If you aren't so well geared you may want to raise the mana percentage to 80-90% until you get more mana. They have made a lot of the healer specs able to do halfway decent damage while healing, for instance resto shamans actually GAIN mana by spamming lightning bolt, and shocks will increase healing done as well. I think resto druids have a similar mechanic, and hoy paladins have always had to cast judgement on bosses to keep some buffs up.

This thing outheals me in randoms on my priest. lol. Ensemble and disc it has been flawless since lvl 47 lvl 69 ATM

I find it gruesome that a healer has to do DPS in order to heal better and have mana return.
It's just plain silly imho, a healer is a healer, a dps is a dps and a tank a tank (that's what they invented dualspec for if u want to do something else on the side).
Does a DPS need to tank in order to do more DPS? No, he doesn't.
Does a Tank need to heal in order to have more threat? No, he doesn't either (Well, can do as feral druid before the pull to get a bit more threat, but you don't shift out of form for a heal while tanking).
So why does a Healer have to DPS in order to heal better and have mana return? Think Blizz has to reconsider this in the long run.

I have a disco priest, but intentionally made a non-dps talent spec (So indeed disabled the wanding, smite and holy fire)
As healer I "refuse" to DPS, since I'm there as healer and not a DPS.
And still Ensemble does about 7K HpS with average 11% overheal.

Either way I'm sure there's people for the DPS/Heal thing, and people against the DPS/Heal thing. Everyone to his/her own :)
Regards, Liquid.
