This, just seeing how blizzard was fixing several bugs etc is there any risk in botting right after a patch ? I mean since there might be a hidden warden update to catch botters or something. Its just that I am new to botting and want to be safe.

Btw, if there ever was a warden update where in this webpage ould it be announced ? Would it be announced through the application itself like "do not use until we fix new warden changes ?" that would be nice :D

The Buddy products have a number of builtin protections against the Warden. And indeed, one of them called 'Tripwire', is very similar to what you describe. If the Tripwire detects a peculiar Warden change, the Buddy products will exit immediately. If you attempt to relaunch them, you will instead be redirected to a web page letting you know that the Buddy product is unavailable due to Warden issues. The Buddy team will scour the Warden before allowing the product to go back online for users.

As with anything, its not infallible, but its as close as it gets. The Warden protection was one of my main reasons for selecting Honorbuddy when I was looking for a bot. No other bot on the market has anything close to it (from what I've been able to research).

Most of the ban reports you see in the forums are due to users being detected on the 'server side', through player reports, botting 24/7, or other risky bot behaviors. The reports are not due to Warden detection (that we know of).

I didn't know that about Warden (Tripwire etc), but thats amazing. Glad I chose Buddy!

Then why isnt the tripwire live link working? Or do I have the wrong one?

The trip wire webhost server was being DDOS'ed and it was taken down. The ACTUAL tripwire doesnt need to feed from that webhost. So to keep it working flawlessly they redirected it eleswere..

The tripwire still works as intended just not shown as publicly

man each time i log into this forum i love hb even more, the speed of replies the amount of support of ppl, the only thing missing is flying mount usage for life accoutns !

On a side note do we actually know if it works? I'm not trying to troll or anything but there's been one banwave that caught gb and that was before tripwire. Will we ever know if tripwire does activate or will we just be kept ignorant so we can bot away happily?

the banwave that caught gatherbuddy wasnt directed at gather buddy, it was to catch users using a hack called "LuaFoo" or whatever it was called. if tripwire does get activated every user will have the bot close out, and if you try to restart it you'll be presented with the message that will basically say, "tripwire is activated, please see the forums for more details" this will happen before any kind of injection into wow takes place, therefore keeping you protected.

Right I understand that but what Im asking is have we seen it in action yet? I don't recall ever not being able to log in due to a change to warden since the hack was detected (and coincidentally when tripwire was released).

the only major change to warden has been the update to 2.0, and since then they havent done anything with it. that's why tripwire didn't get tripped then or at all recently
