Anyone that just bots for gold ever give their bots a break, or just go all day, everyday?

I let my bot go 20 hours and then stop for 6 hours.

i do never ever a break never never

:)
My break ist on Server down

sometimes when i get the felling "oh thats not human anymore 3-4 days long 24/7 " :D

I for one, configure mines to rest in random intervals of 30-60 min, every few hours or so, giving me a total botting time of approximately 16 out of 24 hours.
I am 100% positive Blizzard is flagging accounts that systematically run Sarkoth/Core etc 24/7 with exact pathing every time.

From Bash's blue post a few weeks ago, we already know Blizzard Specialists can track stats like, what's the most popular runed skill, the avg playtime of hardcore characters, the avg level they die at, and much much more.
From then on out, an account specialist will examine your account, and will discover the crumb trails of the other accounts you have been interacting with and shut down the entire chain of botting operations.

how u configure thiz?

my bot's get a break on patch days :)

Yeah, was thinking about just going for broke. And to the poster that said you're 100% confident that Blizzard tracks pathing, negative. You have no idea what it would take for them to do this, the amount of resources alone would be astounding. All they can go off of is time, and then, possibly entering your game, but at this point, I think Blizzard is just happy to have people playing, they don't care, they're making a killing off of items on the RMAH.

I think (and hope) that you are giving blizz way too much credit. Im sure some accounts that run 24/7 get flagged, but i think most of their energy goes into making warden able to catch software so that banning can be (for the most part) automated. This is the most efficient way to ban the most people. Hiring personnel to go through accounts personally wouldn't make a dent.

You realize what you're saying isn't realistic right ? Maybe they can monitor flagged accounts for bot like behavior, but for everyone who plays ? Don't think so they don't have the resources to do it.

I think its a matter of how much they can investigate. There is private parts too, and they are not allowed to do such things.

And as another poster said, do you think they pay a 'monitor' who will sit and watch thousands and thousands accounts. But I do agree, that they possibly got some kind of system who flags a player if they have been botting for a long time.

But then again, they don't know if you actually bot (even though it 100% looks like botting) so they can't just ban people, based on something they think.

I set it up to go as long as it can until something hangs it up. If I'm there to restart it, I do, if I'm not I restart it once I get back. Been trying to get ARelog to work for me, but no success yet.

Only give it a break when I check the AH. Other than that, nope no breaks at all.

Seriously, I would hire people like me, I would bust at least 100 botters every day with minimal statistical evidence to get enough proof to join a game until nobody even dares to touch sarkoth anymore ;)

With a simple check how many waypoints a char has unlocked combined with amount of GPH for total playtime is already enough to get 90% of us. I could tell you I had barely 10 mil picked up in 280 played legit. A bot does that in, 2 days tops.

Getting flagged is not actually a big deal. It puts you on a focus list but even then, you don't get banned unless they actually decect a bot.

And Blizzard vs Bossland? Lol
