Dk PVP CC

EZFrost is working awesome for me, I just have it running Arathi Basin for now because I'm not sure how well it's working on all the maps, I do know it got stuck on warsong gulch at the GY.
 
They both have their uses, ez frost does more dmg and seems to kill faster, but aretny's doesn't get kited, and is smarter with dg.

And Arenty's is dead until the CC writer he poached code from approves his use of code... Quit bringing it up.

That is not the CC . It always happens in WSG. its been fixed in the beta release.
 
Arenty's "modified" Frost DK CC does rape, actually best DK pvp CC I have ever seen. Not sure what the coding diffence is, but there is a remarkable diffence. (Mastahg, like donklol, I realize it was your code that he modified, so credit and +rep to you). Donklol, I hope ya get it sent to you, unfortunately I am uncomfortable propogating someones unauthorized revisions. As well as the CC works, its a shame Arenty didn't seek permission to modify it.

hes already made it clear he does not want modifications posted. as per CC development rules i cannot let you keep posting his code against his will
please stop or ill have to ban you from the forums till you get the picture.

arenty thats the third time,he has made it clear that he dont want from anyone to modify his CC
 
Arenty,

If I were you and wanted to make a cc based on a similar code to this on I would suggest going back to the source. Mastahg made this cc based on his EZret cc. That cc is just an updated version of a cc that was released to the community by another user who gave the rights of it the community. (See this thread). If you would like to take that code and modify it to fit your needs i don't think there could be a fight about it.

Mods, If I have anyway stepped out of place please delete this post. I am only trying to guide a user to better help the community. Also I would like to note that Mastahg is claiming this code as his own at this time with no reference to Exemplar or his code in the EzFrost thread. While I understand he is modifying it to fit his needs, he has done exactly what Arenty did with his PowerFrostDk cc (or whatever it was called) without any consequences. I feel credit should be given where credit is do. I am not trying to start a battle between users I am just pointing out the facts and I think competition among cc writers only makes the community better.

Ezret v1 was a modification with express permission of exemplars code. Ezretv2 however was a complete rewrite of my own code. Please check these "facts" of yours.

While I understand that you did a "rewrite" of the original code, it is still very very similar to the original. I was in no way telling Arenty to copy your current release, make some changes and slap his name and exemplar's name on it and call it legit. I was saying that he could start with exemplar's code and go from there. I also feel that because exemplar's code is the framework you build from he should be acknowledged in the EzFrost thread. That is all.

They are totally different frameworks. By saying his is similar shows that you know nothing about coding or havnt looked at it.
 
You don't have to fight for it. Most of CC here are identical anyway with very few variations. ShamanWoW and felmaster of course are exceptions. For instance ezfrost uses a List of actions to do in a loop (instead of writing each step alone), uses 2 step procedure to find next target with different ranges and some other minor modifications from others. Anyway, if the author says no, it is no. Right your own. It will be similar for sure since there are not THAT much ways to code it anyway.
 
wow...as a developer (of a different sort) I can't say I've ever seen someone in a 'community' get so bent out of shape for someone 'improving' something they did. sucks for those of us that it would've helped. :(
