Hey guys, I thought it would be interesting to see what suggestions and opinions you guys have on starting on a new realm with a fresh 90. This means that gear is very limited (483). This also means that the character has no flight paths/professions/currency and everything of that sort.

Farm grim batol or blackrock caverns.. as soon as u can afford it, get tailoring to 525..
then keep farming those two instances..

Well if you're on a low/medium pop server nothing is simpler than gathering. On a high pop realm the competition is way to fierce for it to be efficient. Damn botters! (:

it's just the opposite about what you are saying
yes when you are on a low pop server there will be almost none competition, but keep in mind that you also need buyers and when there are almost no buyer it would take a long time before you will sell everything

I like to research a new server before rolling a toon to find out what would be most efficient but each to their own.

Same here...

Every server has a different economy so its hard to just say "hey, farm this to make easy gold". I've been on some servers where selling herbs is excellent and other servers where it would just be a waste of time. I suggest doing a little research to see what would be best for that realm.

Farming dungeons is a stable income, and it doesn't depend on what realm you're on ;)
you'll get the same gph from the actual dungeon, since most of your income will depend on you vendoring and looting gold - then you can ofcourse, earn a little more selling BoE's or cloth from the dungeons ... but you'll still have quite a good gph.
