For a pay to use bot, this is bottom of the barrel. where to start!

-The logic of this entire plugin is utter shit, if this was a free to use bot it would suffice hey its free exp and paragon levels you cant cry too much... but when there are free bots that are easier to setup and have better logic thats just disgusting..let me explain

-Mob pack size, trinity completely ignores your set mob density pack size in favor of spamming whirlwind or any other attack on a single mob....pack size set to 6...radius to 20...why is my bot hitting a single mob in the middle of nowhere.
-Ignore AOE logic...this one has a been a big issue for a LONG time...having the attempt to avoid aoe block selected is more dangerous than just hoping your toon ignores aoe by pure luck, having this box selected means your bot will run away stop attacking and likely die due to having no life on hit happening. Its like trinity refuses to select a new target if the desired one is in the path of aoe...many times my bot will just run a few yards away and whirlwind in place...awesome.

- mapping, quite possibly the worst part of the entire bot, hey let me get 50 yards from the next level of a rift, then decide i want to backtrack to the enterance to map out a quarter inch of map that i should have mapped out when the rift started....

-I thought it was just whirlwind so i swapped to a super simple seismic slam build....even worse, the bot insist on spamming seismic slam on a single mob against a wall when 60 mobs are on the other side of me? really? we dont have any sort of density = priority logic here? once again...almost every other bot is capable of prioritizing aoe attacks where they will hit the most targets....and lets not get into the non existant kite logic....select this box and your character is sure to do nothing at all until he gets the reqested distance away...how about....still attack during kiting? the entire definition of kiting in a game is attacking while maintaining distance not running away doing nothing.
 
The other paid bot I was checking just got a hit. DB didn't get a hit from day 1 as far as I remember (been using it with same account from day 1 Diablo 3). You pay for protection. Of course the logic could be better, the other alternatives have also flaws. Better be safe than sorry.
 
I do not agree with the words used, but I do agree with a big part of the message. I think demonbuddy is a great bot (I don't know about other bots) but trinity has a lot of issues (I posted a list in it's own thread), several of from a long time. The combat logic can be a lot better.

Also, is demonbuddy the safest bot? If it is, that's perfect, but that's not a reason that makes the "trinity has problems with the combat logic" argument not valid. We, customers that have paid, want the bot to be as safe as possible, but also we want the combat logic of trinity to be as good as it can be. And at this moment, it can be a loooot better. What xsenigma posted is happening. Avoid stuff does not work and it has been reported soooo many times. Trinity 3 was supossed to use a new radar system that would have been perfect for combat logic. But then Trinity 3 was a completely disaster so Trinity 2 is still using some (i)logic combat settings. The trash mob pack, the mob distance... that does not work as it should. And I think there shouldn't be a problem posting that in this forum, because that's reality.
 
You Did not pay for trinity. You paid for Stand alone Demonbuddy Minus Trinity Minus Quest tools.

The Authors and Contributors of trinity DO NOT WORK for buddy bots. These people invest there OWN TIME and MONEY.
Trinity 2 Has been around for years.
Trinity 2x Has alot of old code.
Xzjv Is working/ Was working on Trinity 3 too Replace trinity 2. AS well as being the MAIN DEV taking over for Rrrix Updating Trinity 2 so not much work is going on with trinity 3 becasue hes been working on getting Trinity 2 updated. He is not touching the Nav and Avoidance
Trinity 3 has a complete new avoidance system and Nav system that works really really well. a lot of if not everything that Xzjv did to Trinity 2 can be moved into trinity 3

I wrote this as a reply to some one in another thread. When asked

Rrrix was not an employee. This is the same for TarasBulba , Xzjv and Jubisman they are volunteers who have a passion for the game. The only person that is and employee is Nesox the Father of DB

Now that being said Everyone other then Nesox does not get paid unless it's from a donation since they do that charge for what they given the community. Rrrix may have gotten a little something from Bossland / Nesox for all the work he did and time he put in making trinity better for the 2 years + he was with us. He was never a buddy employee and was free to leave any time and basically worked on trinity because he wanted to. It was his Baby I don't even think he had a donation link like TarasBulba, xzjv and jubisman

This is the main reason why people should donate and people don't understand that there not employees and there releasing and working hard because they want to not because they have to. But they still have to deal with ungrateful people who what everything and don't even give respect in return. People don't realize that if you remove trinity / questtools and adventurer from the picture what do you have left. Nothing but demonbuddy stand alone demonbuddy and that's what you pay for making the buyer make everything els

We are aware of that and currently working on a fix. A project this size written by so many people makes some bugs hard to track down.

I would fix that if I could, you know. Avoidance doesn't work well at all and that bothers me probably more than it bothers you. That being said, xz jv is working on an avoidance grid for T3 and I have high hopes for that.

Have you tried adventurer? It's got pretty awesome navigation.

The new patch introduced A LOT of new builds. Right now it's just me and xzjv working on Trinity and we have been focusing on the most popular ones. We did 3 or 4 different monk builds, 3 barb builds, 2 wizard, 2 dh, 1 crusader and I don't even know how many WD's. Unfortunately for you, the seismic slam build is not very popular at all, we've had no demand for it and as a result we haven't looked at it yet. It's probably using logic from years ago when barbariancombat was first written. That being said, the problem you reported is very easy to fix and it should be fixed in the next official release.
 
Jubisman, thanks for your great answer. That's some really nice way to give information. You recognize that there are problems with trinity and also you say that some problems are being worked on.

And Silent, sorry to say, but your reply is absolutely superfluous. Yes, we all know that we have paid only for demonbuddy, not trinity. You can use demonduddy without trinity? NO. It's the same as if you buy a car without wheels. Hey, you only paid the car, not the wheels. We all know that jubisman, xzjv and the rest are contributors. Almost everybody are thankful to them. But if trinity has problems, it can be said and it should be said so it gets better.
 
Pretty sure you can use DB without Trinity. It just you won't have as much features and you will probably have to write profiles by yourself. DB is basically a platform that supplies APIs so developers can build on. I do agree, however, that Buddy team should hire all Trinity developers or at least pay them a huge chunk of the money (because DB is nothing without Trinity, really) so they could get more motivated, maybe. I do find it hard to agree with the thread because he was literally addressing Trinity as a "disastrous" plugin. With that being said, because it's a free plugin that people are developing and releasing it gladly for free.
 
Maybe I did not choose the right way to say it. You can use demonduddy without trinity, but what I meant, you said it: demonbuddy is nothing without trinity. And let's try to be realistic: if we all had to use demonduddy without trinity, write our own profiles, etc., very few people would buy that bot. What's great about demonbuddy is that we can do (almost) everything, but to do that we need trinity first of all.

I truly agree with you, that the thread uses some words (disaster, shit...) that simply don't deserve to be replied, but trinity can be better. I think it should be ok to say that using nice words and trying to be constructive. I enjoy a lot demonbuddy, trinity, adventurer, and other profiles and plugins and also want to have a better bot.
 
some great feedback here! sorry to post my issues in rant form, im newer to this community so i wasnt aware so many freelance programmers were contributing to the core of this bot, i suppose i am just being a bit greedy because currently i cant bot past grift 52 on my barbarian where my static charge monk can do 55-58 in 7 minutes....my seismic slam barbarian can do 64 in my hands and cant get past 52 on the bot because of refusing to hit the density...
