Hello all...

So, the most recent HB release has a framelock option in global settings. But the bot i use does too (tyrael).

So should i turn OFF framelock in tyrael and ON in settings? Or leave both ON? Or both OFF? or what?

cheers

turning on off in tyrael will switch the main FLock as the laste tyrael have own FLock removed

i think i understand

If i read your post correctly, you are saying that the latest version of Tyreal will have the framelock option removed....given that HB now has a dedicated option developed.

Is that right?

HB now runs entirely in a framelock.
This means that HB as a whole can run A LOT faster.

In previous releases, 1 tick in HB could take long time. Around 600ms or so.
Now that honorbuddy uses framelock, ticks have been recorded as low as 8ms.

As far as plugins, you need to ask the developer.

Bam, can you comment that it is also causing a FPS loss no matter you TPS, or routine if you are using a combat botbase? Because Framelock to most people before was just the combat routine running in a framelock. now the whole bot pulse, plugins and combat routine are ran in a framelock. A few of us are believing it is due to everything running in a lock that is causing this.

Perhaps one of your plugins/combat routine are taking alot of time per tick (huge calculations / sleeps / some messed up loop etc.) and that will make it run slower. A slower CPU can also be a bottleneck, I suppose.

This is something ive wondered alot about too.

Ive been using only the honorbuddy + lazyraider/tyrael and Tuanha combat routines.

And whenever ive tried to use the built in frame lock in honor buddy i get a huge amount of fps lag in wow ( i can play with 120 fps locked in wow while streaming) but when i turn on framelock in honorbuddy i drop down to 20-30 fps.

My computer is :

i7 3770k overclocked to 4.9ghz

16gb ram

geforce 770 4gb

Is anyone of you able to use framelocks without experience any lag?

Maybe I did not word that how you read it. Any combat routine, no plugins does it for quite a few people in the community.

Actually.... i just noticed on this thread here:

http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorb...4-bot-tyrael-raiding-botbase.html#post1002721

That TUANHAs routines, DON'T inherently support framelock. So while I'm messing around with Tyrael and GlobalSetting of Framelock, it turns out Tuanha might present some strange behaviour.

Purerotation2 and Millz EXCELLENT mage routine, DOES inherently support framelocking. So i'll have a play later this evening with the global framlock option + Purerotation instead of Tuanha. See what happens shall we?

I would love to hear the feedback if you are going to try out other combat routines. Let us know if you dont experience frame drops with other routines !

sincerly prolifik

ok.... admittedly this might be very circumstantial and not at all scientific but here are my experiences. YMMV.

This is my experience with the FRAMELOCK turned on in global settings, and turned OFF in tyreal.

Tyrael + TUanha routines = very laggy and juddery...FPS very low.
Tyrael + Purerotation = MUCH smoother. PLayable framerates... and my DPS was higher.

It might have been the group that i was with, but i also jumped up about 4 places in the DPS ratings of recount. (average)

The overall feeling is that using Framelock ON in global settings + a combat routine that supports framelocking... is the way to go.

I'd be interested to know other peoples experiences.

cheers all.

***Edit: Incidentally, with PUREROTATION i was using the iwantmovement plugin to maintain afk moving...
