I guess this will be fixed soon as b net just did another update. get this message

UPDATE: been trying all day... eta? not that i mind waiting really..

the sticky says the same thing it did when 2.0 came out. the sticky never was updated to reflect when DB started working again either.
i quoted the sticky to someone else and then found out the bot was already up and running.
So why would we assume this time around will be any different?
 
there was a mini patch, some shit about a few bugs and moving drops
 
Listen, I realize the majority of you here are not that bright so write this down. Patch days where versions of Diablo 3 change are going to invalidate the bot until it is updated to read the new offsets. I'm sure that is a lot of words for you to handle, so lets dumb it down.
Patch Day, DB No Worky, Wait for update.
How many threads does this need.. really?

i guess this means the minority such as yourself feel the need to be a dick to those others that arent used to such things?
SInce apparently you yourself are not so bright, ill dumb it down for you as well.
DB goes downy, No obvious announcment for the newbies.

even the patch day sticky wasnt updated when 2.0 went live and bot was down, when it was back up and running, nothing changed about the bot being down in the sticky.
even with blizzards messed up authentication issues or whatever, they DO have a reasonably quick and obvious announcement show up soon after.

then of course just like asshats being present like yourself, there will also be lazy people who dont check form posts and always post new threads.
just like every other game in the world with a forum to post in. issues come up. and those same or same type of people will post without reading the forum to see if their problem has been noticed or addressed.
 
You're right, that was very rude of me. I should have said, the not bright people are the ones who open up threads like these on patch day.

Perhaps we can convince Tony or some other Mod to have a "Tuesday Patch Day Sticky" that explains what happens on Tuesday generally. Some days it is just maintenance and nothing changes, other days, there are patches, and on those days, the bot needs to be updated.
 
Or, Better Idea. Have a Forum Announcement you must acknowledge having read on patch days. If you then post a "OMG The bot doesn't work blah blah blah" thread, you get muted for 3days or more depending on how many times you have done this.

i like this. there really should be some kind of msg that gets pushed to eveyrone. or a forum announcement
 
I think he assumed that whoever has the wherewithal to purchase and set up a bot should understand that a patch most likely will present a change to the way the bot injects, interacts or whatever word you want to use with the game. Bottom line is we can't fix it or announce when it will be fixed so no point sticking it to each other. I think I trust they will get it up and running as soon as possible.

Until then, does anyone remember how to play manually?
 
Ive been botting since diablo 1 and c3po in diablo 2. Its not like we don't understand updates there surly. I'm paying for a service and I have come to expect answers to my questions. This is the only form of customer service and it would be nice if you didn't undermine the efforts of other people to get the most from the service in which they have paid good money for. Thank you for the positive and informative post there trooper I'm sure your as educated as you are kind.:confused:

And I'm saying your "questions" have been answered EVERY TUESDAY that there has been a patch released.
Botting in D1 and D2 was completely different to D3. Neither of those had weekly updates and D2's internet connection was nothing like D3's. I realize you are wanting a level of service, and I believe it has been provided. You can't come on here every tuesday and be like "Holy shit, what the fuck, why doesn't the bot work." Well, unless you're some sort of developmentally disabled person, or one that has short term memory issues. Do you stick your finger in a light socket at that same time every week and not expect to be shocked? A little common sense goes a long way, that along with the search feature of the board. Technically, you guys are in violations of board etiquette and should be muted/banned for not having searched for this issue.
