Diablo 3 lag when I open up another full screen game

Hello,
I just built a new desktop and for some reason diablo 3 will lag whenever I open up another full screen game. Running other multiple other games in a windowed mode doesn't create any problems though. Is there some sort of setting I need to change to prevent this? I'm not sure what could be the issue.
I'm pretty sure my system specs are not the issue, and the graphical settings I have on diablo are no different from what I used before on my laptop that ran fine.
Any help would be appreciated.

in most games when running a game in full screen it cases everything else to stop rendering, so if you want to play another game, you need to have it in windowed mode, or windowed fullscreen if it supports it.

Or you need to run your diablo3 bot with VMware. For me thats help a lot and no other crashes and D3D resetting problems. Ye a bit complicate for first time but not so hard as see it.

Thanks for the tip. I was planning on running VM's so I guess it won't be too much out of the way, but it would be nice being able to run them without a VM in the background too. I feel that there must be some sort of setting that you can change, since my laptop with much less power was able to do it easily.
