My computer gets the Blue Screen after running DemonBuddy for maybe an hour. Alternatively I tried to run D3 in Vmware, but I can hear the game running but all I get is a grey screen.

Will appreciate any advice.

GeForce GTX 260
Intel Core i7 930 2.8Ghz

CPU/Video Card Overclocking at all?

Did you Run the C++ packages and .net Frameworks in your VMware?

Does you video Display driver ever stop working/restart it self?

Whats the main OS/VM OS?

Attach DB Log

CPU/GPU Overheating at all ?

Do you run VMware off a 2nd HD?

Did you Update/Install newest DirectX for VM ?

Hey I've had this problem on VMware for both Mac and PC.

Go to "Documents" then "Diablo III" then open "D3Prefs" and change "DisplayModeWindowMode" from "0" to "1".

That should take care of it! For some reason with VM ware you have to run in a window now (only since patch, not sure what's up).

^ brilliant. Worked for me using VMware 6.0.1 on windows 7. I was trying to change the prefs from the launcher screen, but the options for that panel weren't coming up, probably because I hadn't actually launched the game yet. This is a solid work around to that problem.

**be sure that you have run the "VMware tools" that will upgrade your "video card" from the shitty VGA graphics adapter to something that can handle 3D acceleration.
