Hello, I want to share to you some things I've learned.
First of all I want to say that English is not my native language. Sorry.
I wanted to make this post a week earlier, but results wasn't so stable.
Now I'm proud to say that my DH bot facerolls 90% of the time. Avg exp is 5-10 bil, 15-20 legs per hour.
Btw i'm using regular trinity, and I've managed what I need to change to make It work.
Seasonal paragon 730.
I'm using nearly perfect gear and N6 build with Bastions of will.
1.9 mil sheet dps, (unbuffed) 19 mil toughness (unbuffed)
2.75 mil dps (buffed), 27 mil toughness (buffed)
40% fire, 53% bonus to Rain of Vengeance, 3900% on ancient belt.
I've decided to get rid of +Strafe Damage, I use toughness stats instead. Cool guys play Glass cannon builds, but let's face it - our bot is not that cool.
Stat that is worth to mentoin is CDR. I have it maxed on both of my 1h x-bows, gloves, shoulders, and helm for a total of 45% and 53%(with Gogok). Only upgrade that I'm looking forward to is trifecta focus and restraint (CDR CC CHD Socket). At this moment I've decided that CC + CHD outperforms CDR + one of CC or CHD.
My gems are BotT, Zei's, Gogok. ~50-60 lvl.
Fire build.
Skills.
1 Evasive fire (focus)
2 Preparaton (foused mind)
3 Smoke Screen (Lingering fog)
4 Wolf Companion
5 Strafe (Rocket storm)
6 Rain of Vengeance (Stampede)
Passives
1 Awarness
2 Cull the weak
3 Steady Aim
4 Ambush
Very important to have "Eun-jang-do", "Bul Kathos Wedding Band", "Freeze of Deflection" and "Ess of Johan" on your Templar for permanent 80% slow on mobs.
1. "Bul Kathos" ring procs Templar's Intimidate passive skill, don't forget to pick it!
2. "Freeze of Deflection" shield - is just a chance to freeze a mobs attacking your templar.
3. "Eun-jang-do" is amazing thing! It works with templar and freezes all mobs below 20% health for 3 seconds. Very helpfull on bosses because ~ at 25% they have some outstanding abilities.
I leveled up a Monk to get this thing and its worth it.
4. "Ess of johan" - no comments.
5. As the second ring I use "Nagelring". It summons fallen lunatics that work like some kind of taunt distracting your enemies.
My gear: http://i.imgur.com/cEL8ZUz.jpg CDR accidentally buffed by shrine while i made this screen shot. Sorry.
Now lets move on to trinity settings.
Now I can laugh at how foolish I was. Now I think I know what made my DH to hug everything. That was so annoying, I was close to delete the game.
1. Set the "Trigger range for Elite" combat to 30-40 and make sure your "Trash trigger range" is the same.
You don't want to let your bot make his choice. So reducing the trigger range you will reduce the chance that bot will weight one target over another.
The more targets are available the more the chances that bot will run into the depth of battle to kill THE CHOSEN ONE. ))
a) Force kill summoners = off
b) Extended kill range = off
2. Set "trash pack cluster radius" to 10 and "min trash mob pack size" to 1.
This parameters are also responsible for hugging. Sometimes bot tries to run through the crowd to kill the biggest pack with aoe. meanwhile he misses some single monsters that are very dangerous at higher Grifts. So we want our bot to kill the closest mobs first.
3. Rain of vengeance. Open DemonHunterCombat.Cs and change
I don't really understand programming but it works for me.
Bot kills the closest mobs first. Even it it's a fewer pack, it worth to kill it first and don't let them hit you. Also it works well with Stampede knockback mechanics.
4. I still can't tell if Trinity Kiting really works, but i set it to 25, always in combat.
5. All aoe/elite affixes must be set to 100% health.
6. Also i set "Always kill Elites Below % health" to 20. I've mentioned that sometimes the bot can let some of very dangerous elites to live too long, and tries to hit someone else. Since N6 build is a nuke build, that type of task is a matter of one click for the bot.
7. "Minimum Strafe Hatred" is set to 12.
8. Skill spam:
Rain of Vengeance off CD [checked]
Companion off CD [checked]
I'm still experimenting with "smoke screen spam".
A) If its unchecked, the bot can sometimes use it pretty good. For example right before he is going to cross arcane lasers, he turns it on and runs harmlessly. It also saves a lot of time when combat ends and there's still some AoE remain. He doesn't wait, he just runs through with SS up.
on the other hand
B) If it's checked, bot can randomly avoid instant damage like Thunderstorm, Jailer or
Vortex. SS is on for 50% of the time, so look at it as 50% dodge chance.
So there's pros and cons in both of these options. It's hard to tell wich one is right.
It still kinda sucks VS Reflects, but my setup helps a bit with it. Because when bot pulls an elite pack with reflect damage affix, reflect damage triggers instantly while my bot keeps killing closest mobs, and sometimes it turns out that he starts to hit elites when their buff has already gone.
Anyways, thanks a lot for your attention!
If someone can tell me why "Flee in ghost mode" does'n work, i would appreciate it!
I'm using latest DB beta build.
Running latest R-RIFT profile.
Quest tools settings are not mandatory, but since my bot performs better in 45-50th rifts (optimal Exp/Legs/Deaths) I set:
1. Number of waves to 8-9.
2. Use keys up to level 50. Recently cleared 52 (13:22) but in average he can finish in time only 15-20% of 51-52th rifts.
3. Lowest gems upgrade first
4. Minimum upgrade chance 10%.
5. IMPORTANT! If your "Gogok of Swiftness", "Iceblink", and "Boon of Hoarder" are at max (50) level, drop them to the bottom of gem upgrading priority list to prevent bot's stucking.

I wish you good luck with your DH's!

5. All aoe/elite affixes must be set to 100% health.

Open Trinity => Combat => Demon Hunter. Then scroll down and you will see a list of elite affixes (Arcane, Frozen Pulse e.t.c)
Left column is - "Radius" and the right one is "Health %"
For example:
100% value = Your bot will try to avoid this affix even if he is at full health.
50% value = He will start to react on affix only when he will lose a half HP.
0% value = Bot ignores affix.
6. Also i set "Always kill Elites Below % health" to 20. I've mentioned that sometimes the bot can let some of very dangerous elites to live too long, and tries to hit someone else. Since N6 build is a nuke build, that type of task is a matter of one click for the bot.
