Even though I understand your reaction (I really do.. Heck, I would have probably done the same thing) I am really glad about the effort you've put into this thread. I wouldn't know where to start looking for the information you've been giving here! I was really glad there was some sort of 'progressbar'-thread, without any percentages or M$ seconds counting up/down.

While some people might not appreciate the effort, I actually do!

I didn't want to comment on your thread cause I didn't want to interfere with your updates, but thanks for bringing them this week. I was reading them from this forum.

If I would interpret HatchingEgg's comments from Discord, this is where we are:

1. ***** or Hack API - DONE!!!

2. Reverse Engineer the API (Real API not a Niantic stolen one) - DONE!!!

3. Rebuild Pokefarmer with the new API - Will start as soon as he wakes up, and probably after dinner (He's probably working all night last night)

4. Beta test Pokefarmer, check how stable it is - Will follow as soon as PF is rebuilt

5. Redploy new version of PF once stable - After successful beta test

No one wants to give an ETA, I don't want any assumed ETA either because I don't want to get disappointed like what happened to FPM clients when they did not deliver on time, but if I have to assume, it will be only a matter of days, now that they already have the API and the framework for PF app. They just need to see how it will work when integrated together. Now, please don't quote me on this. This is just my own interpretation.

I was reading all the comments and topics on reddit and it seems like there is a fall out among the developers. Since the code is only shared by the developers, it is easy to assume that the leak also came from one of the developers. My own opinion, and my own alone, developers of trackers and bot makers should not have collaborated in the first place since they differ in principle other than their common goal to break the API. It was bad from the get go, with one holding the biggest piece of the pie, while the rest is distributed among many, tricked by a promise that everyone will partake once the pie is pieced together. Now the holder of the biggest piece decided to ran away with the whole piece while the rest are left hanging, with small pieces on their hands.

I don't know how big of a piece Hatchingegg was left before the other guy ran away, but I hope it was big enough to build the pie on his own, or better yet, hopefully there are others who continued to work together and put their small pieces together to make a bigger pie.
 
Although the objective for BOTs and Scanning is different they found themselves trapped in the same bottleneck of deciphering where the Pokémons are located. Scanning websites want to use an account only to trace several locations across the world to report on a map, while bots use only one account to randomly walk (or walk towards a nearby pokestop) and hope to find Pokémons on its path and catch them.

But Niantic added several security layers.

Captcha in order to detect automated patterns and flag the account.

Speed Limit. If you are driving over 20MPH. The server will stop sending Pokémon locations.

IP bans for multiple accounts

A more aggressive Spoof Location scanner.

And I'm sure more security trips that I don't know about will prevent the server from sending Pokémon locations. Even the app has problems interpreting. Multiple Network Errors, Pokémon out sightings, but spawning next to you. It is very unreliable
 
Anyhow a comment from developement would be nice... I know, "update when something new" but I don't need to get an ETA, I'd just like to know if there's progress!
No update from HatchingEgg for almost 3 weeks and FPM got close to RE the API... so where stands PF?

Anyway, There are few of us this morning who were lucky enough to see the PF beta version. I really didn't see any change, but happy enough to see that the integration seems to be working. So with that, and with the risk of getting banned from the discord and this post deleted by the admin, here's my update.

As for those waiting for Hatchingegg's response, good luck and keep waiting. For those who are patiently waiting for the release without complain, I am with you, and your guess is as good as mine.

Remember that this update is not sanctioned by any of the PF staff.

So, whoever posted on reddit that PF will be live today, please don't do that. Let it come from the PF staff, none of us is in a position to make any announcement of its release. Until the PF developers are ready, the last thing that we want is attract negative attention to this bot. Its different when there are lots of bots floating out there, but a one on one with Niantic may not be wise.

Anyway, the bot will definitely NOT be out today according to HatchingEgg. Beta test continues until they are satisfied that the product is edible, seasoned, and tasty enough to customer's liking.

There will be no ETA!!! other than very soon. It is very unfair for clients to be given a specific time and date only to get frustrated. It is also unfair for the developers to be rushed, then pull it down again because bugs were not found during the beta test. For now, be content to know that the API has been reversed engineered and is working, the integration with PF is successful, and that there is already a working PF bot that is being tested at this time by the PF developer and QC staff.

As for those who arw worried that they lost botting time, your botting time was put on "PAUSE" the moment that PF took the bot down. They will press the "PLAY" button as soon as the "WORKING" not "BETA" bot is released.

Yes, I know, I know, people will still ask "When is it coming out???" "Will I get reimbursed???", Is there new update???", "What will happen to the lost days???""Are we there yet???"

I came down to the forums to find out some information, and you compiled it all into one post. Thank you so much for putting the time and effort into doing this for our community. I appreciated the updates and look forward to seeing the outcome from our Dev Team.
