Demonbuddy Security

I have just got off the phone with Paypal, and they have informed me that my computer (clean expect running Demonbuddy) is being used to try and hack into my account; requests from Iran, Russia, Eastern Europe (all over basically). So my question is this, how safe is Demonbuddy really?. If possible, can fellow users do some checks; preferablly computer savvy individuals.

Did you ring them or they ring you? sounds like a scam to me.

I rang them because they locked my account for this reason.

It sounds like you aren't terribly computer literate on a technical level. A computer is never "Clean except for one thing". Any time you log into a browser you're risking infection. Most especially if you aren't running things like NoScript/AdBlock.

The one thing I can assure you is that Demonbuddy isn't the cause of your concerns. They have to much to lose for something which would be easy to pinpoint/detect.
