Demonbuddy has stopped working

Ran Demonbuddywizard and each time, it installs: visual C 2000 x86
EVERY time I run the wizard this happens...
It only happens on this computer, however, my other computer in a different country works fine...
May I know how this may be resolved? It seems to not work at all on this computer no matter what I do...

nope... i highly doubt it, the bot is crashing not the client...
also, this problem has been around on this comp since DB was released but nobody was able to assist me.

I would put my bet on windows 7 32bit causing this problem. The visual c 2000 x86 is the 32bit driver trying to reinstall itself and probably failing. IMO you could try to find a new Visual C 2000 x86 driver manually (older vers etc) or just save you the trouble and install 64bit. If you need 32bit for some old apps well I can't help you much more with that.

if i install using windows anytime upgrade, will all my files disappear or will remain?

all your data should remain on the computer... I do not work for Microsoft so if anything happens don't blame me I perform backups of my important work before I do any manipulation on my PC usually like installating a new application for work that may not be compatible with others etc...

IMO you should be ok but it's your risk

devs, may i ask why its incompatible with 32bit...?
