Demonbuddy crashing on start

Today I downloaded demonbuddy to give it a trial and see if it would be worth the investment. I've used honorbuddy for a few years now for wow and it has worked fine however, upon start up of demonbuddy, window's "demonbuddy has stopped working" box pops up. I run it as an administrator, set it to compatibility mode for windows 7 (what I'm using), and have re-downloaded and installed demonbuddy a few times now but every time I start up demonbuddy it crashes immediately. I'm wondering if anyone has any troubleshooting ideas on how to fix this error? Thanks.
