Since Demonbuddy was down a long time and development is no longer made through Bossland GmbH. Things are in change, such as, that there is not really anyone, that takes care of Trinity, which started as a community project. It will just take a lot of time to get somewhere near a really good Demonbuddy again.
So what happened until now,
There is a lot of technical debt and technical interest accumulated in Trinity that did not surface until recently. Now that that technical debt is visible it needs to be taken care of in an organised manner. In an approach to accomplish this, work towards an almost technical debt free implementation is being committed. And to get some feedback on the result a decision was made to produce beta builds that focus on specific areas to collect feedback.
Please read the changelog carefully. When data needs to be collected the changelog will also contain the steps to collect the required data.
Trinity was for a long time community maintained and you can see traces of different mindsets between the large set of developers that where putting countless hours of work into Trinity over the last years. That said thanks for your long term support and loyalty, enjoy the BETA and be aware there will be bugs and regression bugs.
