Hello all,

I currently have a Bard bot running and he is doing a great job. I just bought a new copy of D3 on Amazon (30.00 fyi) and I would like to create another bot this time using a Demon Hunter. What I am looking for is any tips or tricks or general knowledge of builds, plugins, combat routines that help make running a DH bot much better. I have heard that the built in combat routines handles ranged combat and kiting better than trinity, is this true? I have looked through the forums for other articles and the ones I have found do not answer all the questions I have.

Thank you in advance for your input.

I bot with my DH. I used this build: Demon Hunter - Game Guide - Diablo III
It uses to works well, sometimes he gets messed with ice+arcanes, moving all time to avoid them (when he is trapped between a wall and monsters) and he doesnt attack trying to avoid, but i suppose it can be fix in the Giles plugin options.

I choosed bear companion and perfeccionist pasive to get more tanky and resist the moments when my bot gets crazy without dying. And i get Acrobatic rune in Vault to avoid run out of discipline (if not, he is constantly jumping).

Btw, my equip isnt expensive and it works well, i farm act3 in mp1 and i die 1-2 times per hour (most of times in Azmodan, i got 43k life and high resistances and his fire ball killes me with one shot!)

Excuse my english ^^

I would say you should forget anything you know about DHs and learn how DB handles them. The idea behind a DH is to have lots of damage, decent resists and kite as much as you can to avoid being killed and kill all the mobs. DB is more simple, it will fire all the mobs despite they're on range or melee.

As what I've seen so far (I've leveled to 57 paragon with DB):
  • Build your DH as survival/tankish: Focus first on a good HP/resist ratio and then try to upgrade your damage/crit.
  • Play a little with the skills/runes to see which ones does your bot handle better: I've been changing my build from time to time to help my bot survive (and try to be Disc. conservative).
  • You should try both Belph and Trinity combat routines. I've tried both and I've found that sometimes Trinity is more fluid than Belph but right know I'm with Belph (it doesn't run bad).

This is the build I'm running atm: Demon Hunter - Game Guide - Diablo III.
