Demon Hunter DPS

Alright, so I just made a DH after farming with a monk for awhile and I am kind of new to the DH thing. I am using the same build as in Carguy's Sarkoth script and I am using things to specifications. It works, but for some reason my DPS goes from 13k to about 8k and then slowly goes back up. Does anyone know why this is happening?

EDIT: When you create a new game, (i.e. leave and restart sarkoth), your dps lowers by about 33% or so and then slowly goes back to normal. Is this new?
I am in U.S.

Sharpshooter, increases your crit by 3 % or something every second

As Poofie mentioned, Sharpshooter masks your "true" DPS by increasing your crit chance every second... try to reach 25k raw DPS with items that only have dex/dmg to be effective at farming Sark.

As Poofie mentioned, Sharpshooter masks your "true" DPS by increasing your crit chance every second... try to reach 25k raw DPS with items that only have dex/dmg to be effective at farming Sark.

I have about 15k non-sharpshooter DPS and farm fine, albeit not the fastest and producing between 470-520gph I think that would greatly increase with either 1) better weapon, or 2) more dex.... but to say 25k RAW DPS is such an understatement....

You have the ability to farm, but 470-520 GPH is far from "fine" as a DH; those are Barb numbers. 25-30k DPS guarantees you'll 2-3 shot Sark everytime, dramatically increasing GPH. Any DH should be making 600gph with modest gear and 700-800 with high end.

I absolutely agree my current GPH isnt NORMAL DH levels for farm, but the way you said 25k made it seem like that was a MUST to farm, if you have 12-15 you can farm, and gradually increase your DPS, which is what I am looking to do right now, and I have no idea how to get it to BASE 25k WITH high Gf/Mf

lots and lots of gold or lots of real money. I've spent probably a good 80-100million on my barb to get 351%GF with 12 pickup radius and 28k dps/40k health.

Make sure all your equipment has dex... even with a hybrid 352%GF 256%MF running Tac adv, Grenader, Steady aim with 5% crit, 50% crit dmg (default I believe) my damage is 27k with 1600 Dex; making 650-700GPH.

A crossbow is a must, eliminate vendor trips (only loot 62+ rares, legendaries and secret tomes), and get at least 2 pieces of equipment with p/u radius. 10%ms boots are nice to have as well.

Yeah, my crossbow isn't even that great (791-1176 dmg with 190 dex), attack speed isn't important since you can only cast Loaded for bear 2-3 times, but yeah... more dex/GF and you'll be golden.

Oh yeah, i pick up EVERYTHING, however, keep stuff = limited, I understand picking up all those loots hurts GPH, but I honestly think that selling the mats/gems makes up for the lowered GPH....which is why i have a high MF for those good rares/sets/legends

This is how i see it....average successful run 15-18 seconds. Average town run with selling/stashing 65 seconds.

I'd say roughly 2-3 town runs an hour...havent got the data on this, maybe less.

65/15 65/18 = 3.6-4.4 runs so roughly 4 runs IF every run is successful. Per town trip so roughly 8-12 runs IF every run is successful. Average 5k/cellar. 40-60k/hour in GPH im losing out on.

2-4k in TRASH items / town run, and roughly 8-10 Essences + others. So 4-12k in TRASH gold /hour and 16-30 essences. That sell for 1.0-1.3k/each. so 16k-39k (with cut 13,600-33,150) So losing out on 6,850-46,400gold THEORETICALLY. but higher chances to find items worth more on AH or RMAH

If i take the 50% RNG spawn rate, that drops to 20-30k on "normal" runs per hour and therefore 13.6-33.1k actually will put me OVER and therefore im more profitable picking up and town running everything
