Demon Buddy Server?

I came back to diablo 3 and Demon Buddy after nearly 2 years of no play. I noticed that I have the option to select server for best latency. Initially I thought it had something to do with the bnet server I use, but it doesn't seem so.

Therefore I want curious about Demon Buddy. How does it work? Why does it need to connect to a demon buddy server? I also noticed logs reporting it's waiting on navigation server. What's all this about?

I'm just asking about how Demon Buddy works. I'm using it just fine except for the few occasional glitches.

I don't have any issues with that. It's just waiting for a micro-second.

I just want to know how demon buddy works. What does it need to connect to a "navigation server" for? what is it really doing?
