DB server issues?

Yup, it's meant as a DRM thingy.

Guess we'll have a ton of people in the ban report forums in a few days from people hitting the input limit due to this issue. Just pretty darn awesome how they forgo account safety for DRM, at least boot the users off DB as a temp measure when the Nav server goes down or something eh?

But if there are any issues with the nav server, or any routing in-between, you are basically dead in the water. Most of these functions could be handled client-side so this seems a bit extreme. I understand the need to protect their IP but this is excessive considering the impact on performance even when working as intended.

In theory, the nav-server should never be hit if the routines/profiles have short-enough distances between all the moveto commands.

I've just made an update (NOT public/live yet!) to Trinity that logs all moveto tags that have a long distance between the waypoints (long enough to trigger the nav-server), to help routines/profile makers track down sections they can improve to avoid nav-server hits in their routines in future.

Another thing that should be built into the bot itself (since it's clear this DRM thing isn't going away) is that if it can't connect to the NAV server, instead of hitting the inactivity timer (since it's still running), it should teleport to town and idle there (in a dormant state - so it doesn't trigger any inactivity timers, profile reloaders etc. etc.) and retry every 5 minutes.
