DB not attaching

Brand new computer (Windows 10), brand new DB installation. 32-bit version of D3.

The C++ Redistributable installer will not let me install it because it says a newer version is already installed.

Please help!

remove:

- microsoft visual c++ 2005-2015 x86 redistributable



restart your pc,
install https://www.thebuddyforum.com/BuddyWizard.exe
restart

I uninstalled all of the C++ packages in my programs list that had x86 in the name (there were 4 from different years), restarted, ran the buddy wizard which installed 3 things and had check marks on all 3 rows. Restarted again. I'm getting the same error (at least it seems like that to me).

enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.

Got some new info in the log after creating that reg key. The plot thickens! New log uploaded, and I double checked my anti virus and firewall is off.

I did have antivirus disabled. I went back through the whole process and somehow it's working now! Thank you for your timely responses. You, sir, are a machine for working on Easter.
