DB no longer supporting XP users?

Because Win XP is damn old... even Micro$oft doesn't support it.
 
i guess because for the same reason as for honorbuddy:
they want to use the latest version of .net and microsoft doesn't support this version of .net for win xp
 
It still eliminates a big chunk of their userbase and future customers. D:

on the other hand, the bot will run faster (newer .net) they have to consider less things -> faster development / less downtime after a patch hits


if i had to use xp, i wouldn´t connect that pc to the internet
even when it has been still supported it so unsecure
windows 7 / 8.1 it not that hardware intensive if you set it up the right way (disable some services), the only problem i encountered was that some graficcards won´t be supported but they where really old and i doubt that with them d3 would run even with costum settings
 
youre some kind of hipster or is there some other reason to use XP?
 
There are many reasons, the main one probably being that it delays the releases and hinders the performance of DB updates due to Win XP giving a lot of problems.

Also i dont think that it is a "big" chunk of DB users which are running on XP, but if XP support is going to be discontinued it should be mentioned on the purchase page.
 
XP was good for running D3 on VMs because of it low hardware requirements and memory use, but that's about it. The days of botting D3 for money are gone so it is kind of useless now.
 
Demonbuddy is using .Net 4.0 atm.
It's possible to install .Net 4.0 on XP, db should work fine on XP for now

From the looks of the support page today a large amount of people using windows xp along with .net 4.0 on xp are having db crash immediately on login including myself.

I tried both release and beta, the install wizard and from a zip. Tony stated on the support forums that windows XP is no longer supported so I assumed DB was no longer running on XP. Did he just mean that it's no longer supported by microsoft or by both microsoft and the buddy team? I have .net 4.0 and demonbuddy has worked perfectly on XP for me until the most recent 2.0.5 updates for DB. I've supported buddy products for years and really hope you don't discontinue supporting windows XP users. Do you have any suggestions on to get DB working with XP with the most recent updates?

less operating systems to worry about being compatible = less errors when trying to run them
 
I have 140 vms for botting D3 by DB with XP OS, please think about make DB support XP again ! today,i tested install WIN7 for my vms, open D3 very very slow until crashed. i'm very worry about it.
