Hello all.

Do you think that it could be possible in the future, maybe far away, to get the bot "smarter" in the sense that it could detect when is standing in a fire or poison AOE and move away from it ?

I'm absolutly not a coder and have no idea how to do such thing or even if it's possible but i remembered an hold addon for WOW who was warning the player when he's in something bad.

I wonder if it's adaptable for DB ?

I guess it could make a toon running a nightmare profile switching easily in Hell dificulty.^^

It is not a real request or something urgent, i know you have a lot to do these days, i would just have a pro point of view about it.

The wow addon (GTFO) : GTFO - Boss Encounters - World of Warcraft Addons - Curse

Those kind of addon relies on two things: Combat logs and debuffs.
You can definitely make the bot react to certain debuffs, but since there's no combat log, a lot of stuff will be unavoidable.

One thing comes to mind: Arcane pewpew lasers. Unless you have godly gear, more often than not your bot will eat those like a champ.

I wouldn't hold my breath.

I agree, Arcane pewpew lasers are annoying.

I don't think this is true, since DB can detect models present in the environment, and things such as the lasers and fire and poison, etc.. all have models/effects associated to them..

They are working on the API for that; an update from a developer would be nice :P

And those lasers aren't that bad, if you don't mind losing gf/mf gear. My barbarian can tank aoe damage while doing a butcher run using the bot with a combat bot profile. You just need to stack armor and resist and use a defensive build...
