Darklight VS. Furnace

I have been struggling to kill Ghom as quickly as possible with Fate of Fell ( it has 26xx weapon dmg). It took about 35- 40 sec to kill the devil in T6. Then I found Furnace. It has lousiest possible weapon damage + stats. It has only 24xx weapon damage + 6% life DMG ( it can come between 6 - 8%). That is two hand weapon.
Even one hand weapon can go up over 2400 weapon damage. However, in my surprise, it kills Ghom in 15 sec. I was not just counting time in my head. I used my Galaxy phone timer. It kills almost always 15sec. The lousy weapon actually reduced whopping 20 sec at least to kill the Ghom. I was thinking what if I find weapon DMG over 2900 furnace. That would be insane. Anyone has over 2900 weapon damage furnace?

That was the story about killing Ghom. But if we talk about doing other bounty or rift profile, some people say they use Darklight.

I am wondering if anyone actually compared both weapons in rift and bounties. If so, which one was more effective? please tell us what was weapon dmg of each as well.

I saw your post and commented. But I haven't seen your Furnace pic nor weapon damage. I know Furnace is great for Ghom. I didn't ask if Furnace is better than Darklight to kill Ghom. I was not asking which weapon is better for killing Ghom. I think you don't read carefully. I was asking comparison between two weapons in rift and bounty. You never posted comparison of two weapons in rift and bounty. There are always someone who don't read carefully. Nowadays even non native English speakers can understand English better than you do.

You never posted comparison of two weapons in rift and bounty. There are always someone who don't read carefully.

And there are some who don't know how to write. One is a 1H and the other is a 2H. FoTF DMG for me is 2880. 300 DMG won't be making a 30 sec difference to your ghom kills. If you don't read mannercookies posts on weapons and builds, where he compares Darklight/Fire Builds to FotF/Holy shotgun, I can't help you.

Dealing damage has a chance to deal 6–8% of the enemy's current health as Fire damage.

This procs a lot, even procs on followers (tip for you there)

I use this on my crusader and my enchantress and ghom really really hates it, he falls over in seconds on T6

yes. indeed. I love Furnace for now. Does it proc with Templar follower as well? what is your furnace weapon dmg + % enemy's current health as fire dmg?

I'v read that especially in patch 2.1, this weapon will be BIS to clear higher rank rifts. However, it depends on your build ofcorse. If that build requires a certain 1h or 2h then no go. But any build that has it's hands free, most people say Furnace. Internal cooldown is 1sec but that still saves so much time on big hp bosses.
It's a bit bugged however with jenkanbord at the moment, the extra bounces do not proc firestarter or furnace. This will be fixed in 2.1.

I have to say darklight, baleful (phalanx/pet build) feel about the same at the moment. Darklight is a bit faster, phalanx alot stronger. Furnace feels a bit off, doesn't really fit any of the item setups i have. But like i said this might be fixed for a spot in blessed shield or other spam builds.

Increases damage against elites by 40-50%

It's of note that in other posts, they are talking about raising the damage% of Rimeheart to 10000% to make up for the fact that the weapon is primarily used on low dps monk builds.
