[FREE] Daily Studio: Legion Invasion

Version 1.0.160816.3 has been submitted to the store. The changes will become available once the update has been approved.

Code: 
- Minimum Level has been reduced to 10
- Profile now use the Invasion API (Thanks to Nuok for making me aware of its existence)
- Added ground locations to both factions for characters without flying capabilities
- Fixed a travelling issue when waiting for invasions to start
- Bot now uses a different technique to prevent it from going AFK
- Bot will now wait at the current location if it is started during an invasion scenario
- Moved the waiting spot in Orgrimmar to avoid the demon madness
- Added a GoldBoss version of the profile that stops once all current invasions have been completed

If you don't want to wait that long, feel free to download the zipfile and use the profiles locally: View attachment 207379

I set mine up doing the following: Wait 1 hour, then log on to my next character, wait an hour, log on to another character. Just loop this with the profile and it should cycle through your characters once an hour, that way if they complete the invasions they're not just wasting extra time.

Secondarily, Studio, thanks for setting this up, this is awesome and a great way to gear out characters before the expansion. I had one minor suggestion, maybe add a use item for the chests? It's not a huge deal but I think some people may like it. That way auto equip can gear the character appropriately.

The bot already calls HBRelog when no more invasions are up for a given character. The alternative profile (not on the store yet, but in the zip) stops when it is done.

I was thinking about the item use, but my issue was that the items depend on the spec and I do like to farm as DD, but get gear for tank or heal. I figured others might want to. Also with some chests dropping more than one item, the inventory fills up faster.

Ah that's awesome, I'll have to modify my task list then. And that definitely makes sense, like I said, not a huge deal, but I guess if you're afk you don't want full bags.

Please use the version provided as download in the first post of this thread. The version you are using is outdated and the store has not approved the new version yet. That is why I provided it as direct download.

would be awesome if it can tag mobs as well since they nerf the stage exp

We agree that our initial change made Invasions too unrewarding for characters who weren’t at max level, so we’ve just applied a hotfix that increases XP gains from killing Legion invaders. Since Invasions are only around for a short period of time, we want them to feel lucrative, and provide incentives to actively participate in them.

You should be seeing a lot more progress on your XP bar for helping your fellow Azerothians fight the Legion now."

It is too much work to code all the avoidance behaviors so characters don't die constantly. That's why I have been staying away from it. I am currently preparing all my products for a huge overhaul and I simply don't have the time to spend a day to make sure it all works. Sorry. :(

Any chance to make this participate? due to the nerfs and hot fix.. you get more as long as you participate and the completion xp was nerfed

can die often i dont care it just needs to participate for XP sake on alts

great profile dude, the only bug i have encoutnered so far is that the profile sometimes stops itself without any specific reason :c
 
I'm loving this profile! Thank you very much for your time and commitment to this community!

I am having an issue, and I have an idea of what is causing it, but just going to ask anyways. I can attach a log if it's not as simple as yes or no.

My 65 Shaman completes the Eastern Kingdom invasions, but then to get to the other continent it heads to the SW: Hyjal portal, which pre-lvl 80's don't have access to. My thoughts are that it doesn't have all flight paths, so perhaps that is the reason?

one thing about the Studio Companion plugin though. The Innkeeper's Daughter Since it is a toy now and will save 1 bag slot :cool: for me, i just destroyed hearthstone. I realise that the plugin wont recall to home unless i had the hearthstone in my inventory. its not a big problem though :cool:

That is weird. The Hyjal portal use depends on a quest completion check. Maybe HB returned a wrong value. Did it happen consistently (even after a restart) ?

I was not aware of that. Shouldn't be too hard to fix though since I do have code for toy use in my profile already. Seems like an edge case.
