Dagger of Darts and Sacred Harvester

so i have found both has any one actually built a build around either of these 2 items, would love to see if they are worth keeping

For the Dagger of Darts, you are basically going to want to run the Carnevil build that's posted around the various forums.

I am not sure if the Depth Diggers are stacking still on the WD primary skills either as I have been paying attention more to Crusader as of late.

If not the DDiggers, then likely max poison damage Swampland Raiders or Hexing pants of Yan.

People are generally saying that the damage is more consistent than that of an SMK based Carnevil build. Might want to run a couple 5 hour rift sessions, one with each weapon [SMK or Dagger of Darts] and see which one yields the best per hour stats. I would be very interested in the results.


As far as the Sacred Harvester...

I would imagine a Jade Harvester build with this as the main weapon, with stacked cooldown reduction would be the way to go... Especially if you were running the Soul To Waste rune!

CORRECTION: The unique affix allows the Intelligence buff from Soul Harvest to stack 10 times, instead of 5. It still requires all 10 enemies to be harvested at once, and with each harvest, overwrites the old stacks with the new ones.

SKILL: Soul Harvest
Cooldown: 15 seconds​
Feed on the life force of up to 5 enemies within 16 yards. Gain 2% Intelligence for each affected enemy. This effect lasts 30 seconds.​

RUNE:
Soul to Waste
Increase the duration of Soul Harvest's effect to 60 seconds.

PASSIVE SKILL: Spirit Vessel
Reduce the cooldown of your Horrify, Spirit Walk, and Soul Harvest spells by 2 seconds
In addition, the next time you receive fatal damage, you automatically enter the spirit realm for 2 seconds and heal to 15% of your maximum Life.

In Summary [TheoryCrafting]:
You can stack 2% Intelligence, up to 5 enemies max. The weapon allows you to do this 10 times!

With 4 pieces of max cooldown gear [shoulders 8, gloves 8, Weapon 10, any other 8], Max Diamond in helm [12.5] and Spirit Vessel:
You're talking about 8 seconds per cast. That's 7 casts per minute. If you can maintain this, we are talking gains of about 50-70% Intelligence.

If we are pretending that you have around

Profile DPS: 1,200,000.00

Critical Hit Chance: 50.00%
Critical Damage: 400.00%
Intelligence: 8,500

Post buff would be something like 13000-14000 int.



With the average buff in this DPS per 100 INT is 25,000 and you're gaining 4500...

You're picking up over 1 million DPS. Sustained.

THIS DOESN'T EVEN INCLUDE GRAVE INJUSTICE! This or more CDR gear could significantly raise your casts per minute.



Of course that is all theory and not tested by me, but if you have a Jade Harvester set, I would suggest taking it for a spin and raise your CDR and see how high the actual DPS increases are.

The idea of using stacked Soul harvest to effectively double your base DPS would help lessen the times between trying to stack up multiple DOTs.

Imagine stacking 10 soul harvests then hitting a chest to proc your harrington's belt... Amaza-za-zing

Just to be clear, Soul Harvest doesn't actually "stack". It just gives the effect for each target you hit, upon each use. So for the 10 stacks you need to hit 10 targets with each Soul Harvest, which simply isn't going to happen... Like ever.

Here is a description of it's affect:

....I don't see how this new legendary would be of benefit over any of the current BiS items.

Soul Harvest on its own is a terrible ability. Sure the stacks are nice, but in combination with Jade Harvester you will almost always flat out oneshot the trash, in which case the bonus int does nothing. You need it for the longer boss fights that require multiple Soul Harvests, but in this case you'll shoot yourself down to 1 stack as soon as you use it on the boss, assuming there's only one boss.
It's not really a stacking mechanic, so the wording of the tooltips don't really match the actual events.
