D3 - Computer Builds for Botting

I made a screenshot of my desktop pc (not dedicated) running 11 instances of db+d3 on a FX-8350. Many people seem to think, that AMD CPUs are crap, which is certainly not true. Here is the proof of a budget pc botting 11 games with no problems. It is OCed, but still nothing fancy. I was also using 13 TPS on every DB.

Intel processors are far more powerful for raw processing power. However, AMD typically handles multitasking way better (more open processes/items at one time). Intel is better in terms of smaller amounts of processes that require a heavy portion of the CPU load. If your building straight for botting, AMD is the way to go. If you're wanting to play your games on full settings, go with an Intel :).

Damn .. :)) i am so little :)) ...
I buyed 2 weeks ago 1 pc .. AMD Athlon tm 64 , dual core 6400 , 2 core with 3.2ghz , 4 gbram , video 512 :)) it was only 50 euro ... i run 2 boots on it now , and my cpu stays at 70-75% and ram at 50-60% .. I run the boots in window mode , with max 40 fps . boot ..
Is it possible to put a 3rd boot on it ? If not what shoud i improve ??

Sorry for my english .. not mi first language

You might be able to.. I doubt it tho. The only way you could maybe add another one is if you modified your d3prefs.

Use yar (for window resizing etc) and change d3 prefs and you should be able to run 3.

Excepts where he's sitting at, YAR will put him close to / over is limit. YAR actually uses a bit of resources =P.

Hmm, w/ yar running 5 bots is a lot smoother for me than w/o yar, and thats w/ modified d3prefs on both. But if you get the resizing feature w/o yar, then that would be best.

Re-sizing doesn't affect the load on your GPU =).

Guys, i've got i5 2500k @ 4,3Ghz with Nvidia gtx 680 ( but GPU does not matter) And i can put about 6-7 bots with d3 prefs changed. If i'll start WoW cpu usage is 100% and bots droped fps from 24fps to about 10fps. dying usually. You think that if ill change my 4core's cpu to i7 3930k (6cores) which is so strong, and OC it to about 4,2-4,3Ghz, it will enable me option to put 12 bots with less than 80% cpu usage ? Cause i dont want to buy second station for about 900Euro if i can get strong cpu for about 500 Euro. i need 20-30% cpu for photoshop, wow or simple games. Also there is way to buy i7 3770k. It's not about price, it's just about working with my PC station, to do something more than boting.

To tell you the truth, i doubt that with 12 bots on, you will be able to use photoshop or WoW efficiently, no matter the CPU you buy. It might be possible, but then your bots won't function as well as you'll be used them to. When you want to run multiple instances of d3+db, a dedicated pc is the best choice.

The 3930K is a beast on its own, but there are others things to consider as well. It also needs a special socket, it is NOT the same as for the other i7 CPUs; so you either have a LGA 2011 MOBO laying around, or you will need to spend 200$ on a MOBO. Then, 12 bots and something else will require more than 16GB of memory. I am not sure about your GPU, but i think it will run 12 bots and you will be able to still use it for something else at the same time. And this is, if everything is perfect software- and hardware wise with your system. This much usage to the GPU/CPU will require good heatsinks and a good thermal paste, properly applied. You will need a 600W PSU(not sure, but i think 3930 needs a lot of power for a proper OC). Components will run hot, so a case with good airflow and a few fans are mandatory. Also, do not underestimate the electricity bill. This cpu has quite a power consumption, even when not OCed. Same goes for your GPU, which will run above 60% of load all the time. Last but not least, the economy of D3 right now isn't as good as it used to be. Things sell hard, keep that in mind, before you order a 6 core intel CPU :)

Yeee, you have right. I still thinking about - is there any chance to see higher prices again, cause now this is kinda pathetic, for people who used less than 6bots. Minimum is about 12 bots 24/7 or 6/9 11-12hr per day. But i'm scared about prices for 1 month... like 1 euro for 100m. So ill choose i7 3770k it will handle about 7-8 bots with few % save for simple things. cause there is no reason to invest in new PC for D3.

oo n00bs I play with my amiga500+, commodore 64 not grafic and ...?

i have i5 3470 3.2ghz
16gb ram
ssd 120gb + hdd 500gb
9800gt

last night i made my 7th boot and in morning when i checked bots all of them had half of gph and items.
what do i need to upgrade to keep 9 bots? GPU ?

change
proc to xeon e3-1230v2
video to nvidia 640gt 2gb
mb bios latest upgrade
and you can run 10 bots

is the pc Computer for Botting on the first page is still good? i ask becose i need buy pc for run 10 bots for max 700 $

Any1 can build me a rig which can run 10+bots please? budget 800euro

is 2gigs on the graphics card really necessary?

would this run 10 bots? what do you guys think? the graphics card with 2gigs makes the rig much more expensive

AMD X6 FX-6300 6x 3,5GHz 14MB CACHE
ATI RADEON HD7770 1GB DDR5
2x 8GB 8192MB 1600MHz DDR3
some gigabyte mobo

Your processor is the limiting factor imo.
