[Custom] GilesTrinity - Rendtastic edition!

Hi Guys, I just wanted to post my custom version of 1.5.1.2 that I use with my rend-revenge barbarian. While I think Trinity is super awesome I was unhappy with the way it handles casting rend. The main problem is when rend is cast immediately after another attack, it won't actually cast if your attack speed it too slow, but since there is no way to check if it was actually cast, Trinity won't cast it again until the timers run out. This results in rend not being cast for 10-15s at some times. Since I have no loh or lifesteal on my gear, if I don't rend, I die... The way I fixed it was to wait for the attack animation to end before casting rend. I find that this works amazingly well (but not 100% perfectly) and my deaths per hour have gone down a lot.

Since it casts much more reliably now I have increased the timers on rend (try it before you change it). I have also enabled rend even when avoiding (so you can still heal while running away), and also when targeting goblins (so you don't die to the surrounding mobs).

The full changes from "stock" 1.5.1.2 are

- Added animation checking for rend
- Increased main rend timer to 4s
- Increased new target/more enemy timers to 2s
- Removed spam when high fury conditions
- Removed save up energy for wrath/earthquake condition
- Added wait for Azmodan cooldown condition (since rend is now activated while avoiding)
- Allowed rend to cast when targeting goblin if there are multiple enemies around
- Allowed rend to cast when avoidance is activated
- Added condition to use rend immediately if there are any full health monsters in range

- Revenge is cast with lower priority than rend unless low on heath(40%) or fury(40%)
- Leap is cast on cooldown even while avoiding

- Blacklisted demonic vessels (103919)

if you dont need the armor from leap try using charge + merciless, i found it much better than leap.
 
Working as intended.... My DPH did not change but my build is different from yours. Still at around 2.7 (hard to be sure with this small of a statistic) but it looks like the rend behavior is working much better.

Edit* it's actually working very well, almost 100% uptime on mobs when the fury is available. Nice work.

A couple of changes to next Trinity version should fix this I hope. Btw while I don't *at all* disapprove of customizing Trinity (I 110% support and encourage it, by all means!!!) - I would ask that if you have a direct download link to a Trinity .cs file - you make sure to add a big red highlight at the bottom of your post (just before the download link appears) saying something like "This is Trinity version xxxx released on yyyy" - just incase a total newb wonders into the forums, downloads a brand new Trinity, browses threads, sees somethings like this, and goes "ooh, an update that makes things better!" and downloads it over a newer Trinity version, then starts posting about bugs he had which are already fixed :P

Anyway, the two changelog entries I have that I think will fix rend issues (amongst others);
Code:
- Changed power-usage to be more resilient to D3 errors causing skills to sometimes not go off despite a "usepower" being sent to D3 - particularly aimed at a number of very long-cooldown spells/special powers etc.
(as a result, abilities like archon, wrath of berserker, gargantuan and even rend and revenge should be much more reliable when cast amid rapid-attack abilities).
- Added a 50 millisecond "global-cooldown timer" to most abilities (excludes beam-based attacks on the wizard, and VERY rapid spam abilities like frenzy, hundred fists) to prevent power-uses happening too quickly for Diablo 3 to handle.
(above change should remove some random problems with abilities not going off, and help attack speed in some instances)

I hope to have a new version out sometime late tonight, with these and other changes/fixes in.

Why blacklist demonic vessels? Hey drop a ton of money sometimes..
 
Have not tried this but my barb with the latest update (1.5.2) is doing exceedingly better than in previous versions. Way less deaths than before, spamming rend as it should, etc. Great job Giles.
