So I have gone from paragon 100 to 358 since the 31st, The exp bonus this weekend help along nicely although soon as I hit paragon 250 I added back a leoric ring and hellfire ring(keeping MF gem in helm for now) And here I am nearly paragon 360. I think my bot has pretty much ran at close to 20 hours a day, The logs show 146 hours total but I am pretty sure I replaced DB 2-3 times as well as switched to a beta version to run hell rift for more exp(less legendaries imo, though I do have over 185 quaking vials from hell rift, and 63 shimmering quills from sarkoth! LOL).

So its a lot to type out right now, But basically I am wondering how many of you have FOUND the items you want. All of them, some of them, none of them. Good rolls or not..Out of probably 200 hours of botting nonstop I have found tons of items, some of the same items 5x+ or more. I have never seen a thunderfury despite while power leveling a friend he got one on his barb at 51. Never seen a mirrorball drop, 0 pieces of tal rashas. The most FREQUENT item I have seen must be a mix of skysplitters/nemesis bracers/eternal union/tons of those crappy belts and basically every 1hander ASIDE from a shard of hate, wand of woh, tfury etc. I had 4 Odyn Sons drop today in a 3 hour period., various same 2h weapons(that all suck and are not viable for a wizard AT ALL). I am not really sure what I am hoping to get out of this post, I realize it can be very random for item drops. For the longest time I got over a 100+ legendaries on leg road profile and to date I wish there was a way to keep track of the exact amount. But ide easily say 500-600 legendaries botting and non botting since RoS release. Now that my paragon is so high, I am thinking of going back to legendary road on a higher torment possibly or just doing rift runs or cache runs manually.

What do some of you think? Personally I don't see anymore reason to bot paragon levels for the points if I could be playing manually with friends. I may just start botting certain high elite/champ/boss profiles for the best legendary per hour rate while I sleep and then do cache/rifts manually. It is obvious botting helps immensely as paragon points are a requirement to having a well rounded character, as well as having all the possible salvage materials you could EVER want. I am sitting at around 7500 crystals, and 11k dust, but only 700 breaths(not alot drop on the rift profile because unlike legendary road where there is a dozen elite/champs, theres only 1-2 here) So I switched back to vendoring everything which in term I went from 25m gold collected to having well over 300m gold collected(another must have, gold...280stat gems, EXPENSIVE AS HELL) Especially when you are trying to reroll armor that cost one + 2 souls + mats per craft. If you dont have a ton of imperials, rerolling jewelry or making gems is EXPENSIVE since imperials aren't the most common of drop but marquise are however to craft one imperial its 200k alone, and one flawless imperial as much of you know takes 3 imperial. so starting from marquise gems your looking at 600k for 3 imperial to create 1 flawless imperial that cost 300k to create and your still 2 flawless short of a royal.

tl;dr long post, just trying to get the rant out of my system when hundreds of hours of botting dont drop a single item that I see everyone getting :p

edit - to get a little off topic here, are there any plans on updating the demonbuddy interface? getting rid of the ilvl stuff. Possibly adding something like how long the bot has been running for like an internal timer for that session. A exact amount of how many legendaries the bot has picked up for that session(from when you open to restarting DB itd refresh back to 0 time/leg) the legendary dropped/hr always seemed useless to me since everyones going to pickup 100% of them at this point right? Anyway just a suggestion, I need some serious sleep. Despite running a bot I don't think I have slept much at all since RoS came out.

All my plans came from Core Runs, Most of my upgrades came from Wretched Runs, When I needed Gold or wanted High XP I do Rift runs, Manglemaw runs T4 were nice too no upgrades though. For the most part Iv been running T1 even though I can do T3/4 there is no point. I get more Legs doing T1.. I never did get the "Shotgun" Flail...

I bot 20+ Hours a day, avg 1-2 Legs/h T1 and im over 100 paragon levels lower :(

Edit: I swiched DB so I dont loot anything but legs and I dont attack anything but Rares+ Avg about 20-30 games an hour.

how the hell do u lvl 258 paragon lvls in just over a week? That's around 28 lvls a day at 20 hrs meaning less then an hour for a lvl. U must be getting really really high exp/hr.

I would also like to know this? Lively imagination?

I am curious about rift runs. Maybe I am behind the times on how this is done?
He's talking about Hell Rift runs, not Neph Rift runs. Neph Rift runs would be awesome, however!

As I said I was previously using legendary road profile which was great and all, but when I compared it to hell rift it made a huge exp/gold difference(mind you I also "exploited" about 30 paragons out of this before they nerfed demonic vessels and T6 speed runs). I had to bot or manually get pool stacks before running legendary road to boost my exp, I almost NEVER went without a paragon level worth of pool exp to burn. Soon as I switched to hell rift, This was no longer needed. You do 10-20 rift runs and each level can have a chance to spawn a pool, eventually your staying capped at the most you can get every other run. Bounty exp and gold is crazy good, especially if you get the clear all rift which is worth nearly 20m exp compared to the 9m sledge and hammer bounties. So every run you have mobs/bounty and occasionally a cursed chest with pool exp taking about 3 minutes per average run or less if you disable lvl 1 combat and use illusonary boots.(mind you we had a 50% bonus friday 8m to monday 5am which I took FULL ADVANTAGE of, next to 30 mins wasted total sharding and not stopping to oogle at any legendaries just moved them to another stash location to use/reroll later). Once you hit paragon 200 the exp slows down some, but if your botting it doesn't matter because your putting in barely any effort to get it. All you have to do it maximize the time you spend getting exp. The occasional ~45 minutes a day I would take to salvage items, reroll stats, switch gear all cost exp.

I have tried botting a barb and monk, and even with decent gear if I play them manually on T1 they are way slower then my wizard. I think if anyone wants paragon levels, a wizard is the way to go. simple frozen orb build and it kills all on T1 with even crap gear.

I'm finding Crusader to be annoying as heck to gear for. Finally got up to around 861k DPS, with 8.3mill toughness, and I can do T3 Legendary Road, but not fast enough for my liking. Right now i'm doing Leg Road T2 for EXP only, as I've come to the point where I realize I'm not gonna get any more upgrades at this point other than upping my Paragon levels (currently @ ~140).

From what I've been seeing Sorcerers seem to be the fastest way to farm EXP as frozen orb apparently just rapes all.

Could you share the profile you're using please? I'm not seeing this "Hell Rift" profile in the profile section? Also, don't suppose you'd share your build :)? Never played a sorcerer, so i'm looking at PowerLeveling one with my alt account tonight xD!

Cheers

This is pretty much the closest profile you will find to the one im using since I have never uploaded mine, http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb...63-highest-xp-gold-hour-hellrift-profile.html
As for wizard, Mostly what build/torment you run it on depends on your overall damage/toughness/gear at 70. For instance if you have plenty of toughness, You can replace a toughness passive with one that gives more damage and reduces toughness etc.

For my wizard it is as follows for botting T2 hell rift:
Electrocute(the rune that lets it hit up to 10 enemys, Even better if you have a mykens ball of hate source)
Magic Weapon(Deflection, really good absorb shield. always up with electrocute/forbing targets)
Archon(22% extra damage rune, On other profiles I use the -20 second cooldown one so I can archon more often but this profile soon as you pop archon, your done with the run and making a new game its already up)
Energy Armor(Force Armor - helps with hard hitting attacks, go prismatic armor for more toughness/allresists, or pinpoint barrier for 5% crit for more damage)
Familiar(Sparkflint 10% damage)
Arcane Orb(Frozen Orb)

For passives there are a few you absolutely MUST HAVE. Others you can switch in and out as you like.
Unstable anomaly(Requirement for botting or not)
Cold Blooded(Required for frozen orb or any cold skill)
Prodigy(gives 5 arcane power per cast of signature spells ie electrocute, Useful if you have no Arcane Power on Crit items - I only have 4 APoC now but could do without this due to my wizardspike)
Blur(17% Damage Reduction, probably second best survival passive we get)

Some people can argue replacing Blur with unwavering will(not great for botting since it relies on standing still for 1.5 seconds to take effect) UW is great for non botting and combined with archon or arcane torrent builds etc, Other passives like Arcane Dynamo are very good but I don't think the best for a frozen orb build, but electrocute DOES build up 5 stacks of it very very fast but at the rate you spit out frozen orbs your only going to be benefitting from a single orb when you can cast 4-5 of them in one go. Anyway I am huge fan of botting with frozen orb because its effortless and pretty much reminds me of botting D2 pindleskin/mephisto with frozen orb back in the old days hah. Having a Wizardspike is a huge deal for any Forb/Cold dmg skilled item build. Sometimes you can cast a orb and you wont even notice its 2 orbs on top of each other without looking closely. There are plenty of great weapons like Fulminator, Wizardspike until you can get a thunderfury or maybe a shard of hate.

Yeah its all really weird. For the longest time i wasn't finding any upgrades whatsoever. Doing various runs in T1-2. Then I was doing some Normal runs for speed and had a 1 hand set weapon drop that was an actual upgrade.... my paragon is over 200... I didnt even know level 70 set items could drop in Normal!... Can someone else confirm this for me?

Yes, I got my level 70 royal ring of grandeur from a speed run A1 cache on the 40-50th cache. Same with boots around the 20th cache on T1. Now I am still pretty pissed I haven't seen a thunderfury or shard of hate! lol, rolling around with 85MF most of time...115 when I put nagelring on(which I will probably run with my bot once its updated. I am so happy they lowered gem costs, Because I had been building up materials to make Cains set, and demons set and aughilds. Finally rolled some cain glove/boots. 4th pair of gloves came out with 715 int 7 IAS 8% CC 42% CHD and I rerolled it to 10% CC. I was originally planning on going 3pc demon skin armor for the bonuses, But aughilds looks more appealing and is easier to obtain since I wear shoulders already although they could use a reroll or two for best in slot stats then I would have +7% reduced dmg to melee/ranged attacks, and with the 3rd pc via ring +15% dmg to elites and +15% less damage taken by elites. Now I just need friggin tal rasha pieces to start dropping so I can do 3/4 piece it for its ele dmg 2pc, APR/allres 3pc and super uber elemental meteor on 4pc that you can work into basically any build to rain down meteors of all types like crazy even with 8sec CD per element.

Level 70 sets cannot drop in normal EXCEPT for Blackthorne's and a few miscellaneous things like the Littany/Wailing Host and the Compass Rose/Traveler's Pledge crap. The class sets are restricted to Torment only.

I'm on Paragon 495. Went from 112 (where I was when patch 2.0 first launched and the first time coming back to D3 in 6+ months) to ~450 by the RoS launch through CotA runs during community double XP. Since then I've just been letting it happen when it happens, since I need something like 1.9 billion XP per level and farming gear is more important. I still tend to get a few levels per day between botting legendary road and some manual T3 rift runs when I can get online.

Took me over a week since RoS launch to get a SINGLE piece of wizard set gear. First one that dropped was finally Vyr's Fantastic Finery (or whatever the pants are called). After that I found Firebird's pants... then another Firebird's pants. After cursing my luck for a few days that I wasn't able to cobble together a single 2 piece, +500 INT set bonus, I started finding more. As hackneyed as the phrase is, RNG is RNG. I've got 3 pieces of Vyr's now, 3 of Firebirds, and 3 of Tals, which I'm using with the Ring of Royal Grandeur for that sweet meteor bonus. On the other hand, I've found almost every single legendary source in the game EXCEPT Winter Flurry, which is a real kick in the nuts, and I've found 5-6 Magefist but no Frostburn. And only one level 70 SoJ, which was Arcane, so I'm still using my 2.0 lvl 60 SoJ. But since it rolled 20% cold and 30% elite damage, it's going to be hard to replace.

EDIT: Oh and I forgot to mention, I've popped over 100 caches (I'm sure many people have done more, but bear with me) and gotten THREE legendaries. Other people are reporting that the odds are somewhere around 10%. If I didn't bot, I would have the worst gear ever.

See thats intereting because i had a set barb weapon drop in normal. Maybe those are included?...

The small 2 piece sets from vanilla D3 I don't believe are included in the Torment only sets. My mistake. There's one for each original class and they take up both hand slots:

Chantodo's
Bul Kathos'
Danetta's
Shenlong's
Manajuma's

I'm assuming you mean one of the BK weapons since I'm positive that the IK set is Torment only (or at least is intended to be). None of those above sets are particularly useful, unfortunately.

EDIT: I suppose I should have clarified my initial post as well. Technically every single level 70 set is Torment only. The D3 Vanilla sets are not level 70 sets, they're level 60 sets scaled up because your character was level 70 when they dropped. Of those sets, the big 5 (Tal Rashas, Immortal King, Natalyas, Innas and Zunimassas) have been bumped up to Torment status.

Ahhh, Gotcha. Yeah I was a little confused when it dropped. Thought it might have been bugged.

Yeah nightmare as I originally posted I ran into almost the same thing, I pretty much geared myself out without botting first. using mostly all rares and some legacy items that were still very good(high end witching hour/chantodos wand/source for MASSIVE dmg and like 14 APoC whereas sources are limited to 4 now and weapons cant have 10 like chantodos did). Once I started botting I was able to replace my gear rather easily, I did it pretty selectively though. Held onto multiple items of the same slot then after a few days of botting I would put the best one on, reroll stats to see how it was and shard the rest. I am very pleased with how quickly I got the ring from a1, and the cains glove roll. I am just not really sure what to go for now, to explain....

I love frozen orb, its simplicity is just amazing and requires very little work and it can easy chop packs down very fast I have mods for arcane orb dmg on my boots and helm and 18% cold on my bracer and a 19/27% soj that I swap in when I am playing manually and come up against a elite/rift guardian whatever. I also have a arcane set, a VERY VERY nice Ouroboros amulet(20% arcane, 10% CC and like 80%+ CHD) that is the best I will get since moonlight ward does not drop atm. Then I have a 20/29% arcane soj and some 20% arcane slave bonds with int/vita and 6% CC.

When I switch into the arcane damage gear, its a HUGE difference in damage. I use Arcane Torrent with Cascade rune but I still have to use electrocute because I have no mirrorball and frankly I don't like any of the MM runes without a mirrorball. My main weapon is a wizardspike so I still proc frozen orbs like crazy to take advantage of cold blooded. And for Archon well obviously its a huge damage upgrade went from 20m crits to around 40m crits. I don't have a thunderfury or mirrorball obviously, or the 3pc tal rasha set so I can make meteors of all elemental type rain down for insane damage. When my wizardspike procs I just notice it hits a much wider range of targets and is still very good. But I guess thats the difference of 30AP orb vs 16AP Arcane Torrent. So not to keep going off topic, My question is for those who have these items. Will arcane torrent be way better when I get the 2 3 4 set bonuses (more ele damage, AP regen, ele meteor dmg spam), I have never personally played a char that had tfury so I do not know how much of a difference this makes, Mirrorball I know it will be a big upgrade even if I get a 1 missile ball though ide prefer 2(/pras diablo3 loot gods).

SO 4pc tal rasha proccing every element meteor with thunderfury and mirrorball for seeking missiles or other MM rune. How much chaos/damage will this create? My AT does about 8m crits right now(4m first bolt 4m second bolt) to maximize all the elements for meteor I am probably thinking
Magic weapon - Ignite for fire
Sparkflint - Icicle for cold
Torrent/MM - for arcane obviously
Thunderfury - I assume will proc the lightning? not really sure I just see a lot of people using similar builds as to this to get the most of tal rashas meteors.

Any other arcane wizards who run it all the time, please post up if you can give me your opinions/thoughts/suggestions, what the aspect is like for killing dense packs with AT(ive been using sparkflint cannoneer for its high arcane AoE dmg since torrent is a small radius) I just want to know a tfury/4pc tal rasha meteors will take care of the dense mob packs better then I do without it atm.

Electrocute/Frozen orb setup here 1.1Mdps.
I would like to get back and try my Archon setup to see how effective it can be for ROS.

My Ouroboros is beautiful as well, and there's no way it can get replaced unless I get an equally good roll on Tal Rasha's amulet to help contribute to the set bonus. 20% Cold, 715 INT, 9.0% CC, 100% CD.

What do you mean by Moonlight Ward does not drop atm? Is it bugged or have you just not found one? I found one pre-RoS at level 60 but haven't gotten a new one yet.

I've got a pretty decent Thunderfury that I was using for a long time but I replaced it with a random Blackhand Key that had +40 DPS and did arcane damage instead of lightning, simply because Elemental Exposure includes elemental damage from your weapon. This lets me keep up a constant +20% damage alongside Electrocute / Orb /Magic Weapon - Ignite. The damage from Thunderfury's proc is nice but hard to quantify.

The 4 piece Tal's meteor bonus however adds a TON of damage. Somewhere around 2500% weapon damage every 8 seconds, and there's a ton of combinations that will allow it to trigger. Just keep in mind that what's useful for procing Tal's and what's useful for maintaining uptime on Elemental Exposure are very different. When I wasn't using EE I used Familiar - Sparkflint since it's projectiles would reliably proc the fire meteor, but it doesn't have the AoE necessary to maximize the usefulness of EE, which is why I had to switch to Ignite.

My friend is running a fire wizard and hasn't been able to find a Cindercoat. 2 days ago I ask him to power level another Wizard for me so I can have one for arcane and another for cold, and he gets a Cindercoat at level 51. Pretty sure the game is a troll.

im paragon 550+ and dont find shit ever i have some friends also botting, same profiles similar iph and yet they find 3-5x as many legendaries as i do over a 12hr period. even better is the stuff i do get is worthless wheras 1 has found 3x thunderfury 2x shard of hate and has almost a full set of bis gear not all ideal stat rolls but the set items he wants etc for every slot. another one found 2nd tf 2 days ago and also keeps getting set items all the time. i'm at the point where honestly i dont even see a point in botting the game anymore lol. playing it is even worse, did a ton of rifts this past weekend again my other friends get shitloads of legendaries relative to me, aside from one who seems to be in the same sinking boat as i am
