Crusader Bug: Cursed Chest/Shrine with 5 Waves or 100 Kills doesn't work

My crusader never uses his secondary skill (fist of the heavens or heaven's fury w/ fires of heaven) or Shield Glare when doing these events.
So doing a4 bounties, he'll often just stand there doing his primary on the cursed chest there, causing him to die or at the very least fail the event. Doing literally one secondary would kill most of the mobs, but he just never does it.

How can I fix this?

Severely misleading title, because Cursed Chests and Shrines work perfectly for me. Perhaps you could correct the title to indicate this is a Crusader skill problem and not an event problem?

Definitely a crusader problem. My barbs clears them just fine still. You might try some other skills instead?

I wish to confirm the findings of the original poster.

Heaven's Fury and Phalanx are not used during the event, despite being surrounded.

You're right. I changed the title.

Definitely a crusader problem. My barbs clears them just fine still. You might try some other skills instead?

I've tried a few viable builds with different cooldown and wrath consumers, most of them seem to not work.

Wanted to resurrect this thread to bring attention to the issue as it is still present in 1.9.8. Doing bounties with cursed shrines or chest (and also Diablo's Crusader clone) is difficult if your main damage dealer is heaven's fury. Anyone have any insight into this?

i had the same issue with my barb not leaping during events. changed the combat cs in a way that he leaps pretty much whenever its possible and there is any enemy around, now it works, although he does not give a shit about clusters or sth...

For me it works. My bot killed 160 mobs out of 100 on t6. Sorry. I didn't see it was a crusader problem.
