The Reasoning
(Apologies if this is the wrong place to post)

I just wanted to open a thread so the community can come together and work on building an efficient crusader in trinity. I believe if we can agree upon a single build in the beginning we could streamline it's integration into the rest of the trinity project. Also if we have any engineers who could perhaps write bits of code for combat mechanics it would also streamline the process. With these ideas in mind we must remain patient and thankful that we have such an excellent dev as Rix.

The response from Rix concerning crusaders:
I didn't have the beta, so, no there is nothing yet.
It will work like this:
1) Support basic skills, no rune support
2) Figure out spell/skill/power prioritization
3) Determine any special movement / OOC buffs
4) Prioritize most common runes
It will probably take a MINIMUM 1 month or so to get past #4 into "Crusader works very well" land, as long as it's similar in gameplay to the other classes and I don't need to come up with some crazy routine logic for handling weird combat mechanisms and such.

Skills
Please comment your ideas and I will add them to the list in their correct area.

Primary's:

Secondary's:

Defensive:

Utility:
Steed Charge (use if frozen? use if hp<x?)
Provoke (Cleanse +loh Use if hp<x?)
Provoke (Hit Me +50% block 4sec) Use if hp>x?)

Laws:
(Very similar to the way mantras work perhaps we can use that code as a base?)
(Laws of Valor (Invincible +loh): Use if hp<x?, Use if elites?)
(Laws of Valor (Unstoppable Force -50% ability cost): Use if elites?)
(Laws of Valor (Critical +100% crit dmg): Use if Elites?, Use if Bombardment (Annihilate guaranteed crits))
(laws of Justice (Faith's Armor absorb 3 seconds) Use if hp<x?)
(laws of Justice (Bravery break cc) Use if frozen, feared, ect..?)
(laws of Hope (Wings of Angels +50% movement speed +move through enemies) Use OOC?, Use if hp<x?)
(laws of Hope (Faiths's Reward +loh) Use if hp<x?)
(laws of Hope (Stop Time no hp regen, no dmg 3 seconds) Use if hp<x?)

Builds:

Awesome crusader build that actually does dmg, and actually survives well!

Skills:

Slash (Crush +20% crit)
Sweep Attack (Blazing Sweep) adds a dot also appears to be the best wrath spender
Condemn (Unleashed instant blow up)
Judgement (Resolved +80% crit)
Law's of Valor (Critical +100% crit dmg)
Iron Skin (Reflective Skin reflects elite dmg for fast kills +survival)

Passives:
Righteousness (+3 wrath regen on primaries)
Wrathful (Healing per wrath point)
Hold Your Ground (+15% block)
Renewal (heal on block)

So basically you just pop in this order: Law of Valor, Judgement, Condemn then spam sweep attack. If you do this elites die fast..

My stats on T2:
253k dps, 540k hp, 55% block, 32% crit, 190% crit dmg, 700-800 all res, 7000 LOH, 5000 LPS, and the super amazing healing from my 55% block chance and per point of wrath spent! UBERRRRRRRRR

Another build I was using that I think is better for worse gear:
My build:
Primary: Justice (Hammer of Pursuit for movement speed
Secondary: Blessed Hammer (Thunderstruck)
Skill 1: Bombardment (Annihilate for guaranteed crits to use with law of valor for elites)
Skill 2: Heaven's Fury (Ascendancy for aoe smart dmg)
Skill 3: Steed Charge (Nightmare for dmg, or Rejuvenation for 10% heal)
Skill 4: Law's of Valor (Critical for +100% crit dmg)

I'm still not sure when is the 'best' time to trigger Steed Charge. I played with it manually, only time I found it was actually useful was when avoiding AoE. Thoughts?

mhm i think its a bit bugged sometimes when he uses Steed Charge he just stands still.
its usefull out of combat to get to the next monster horde as fast as possible, thats why i use it.

Indeed, the +secs rune is the best for me.

BTW guys, any thoughts on HC builds? rrrix, i was using v10. v11 is spamming cleave correctly. Also, pretty beast with full holy build+passive.

Personally I only use it for avoiding aoe.

are there any working crusader trinitys yet? my char allways just stand still :<

well yeah, works now fine, but the stashing doesnt really work :/ it does allways say stash is full, but stash#1 & #2 is fully clear :/

edit: are you using steed charge? and if yes does the bot use it good?

I dont use it for my build. Stash works fine for me /shrungs

I dont understand why people refuse to use logs and copy and paste those obnoxious lines of text on the forums.

I know this isn't 100% crusader related, but I found a Maximus and I have to say Crusaders can really get carried by the Firechain weapon proc. It deals 4M crits 4/5 times per second with my gear. It is probably one of the very few endgame crusader builds.

Here is a video from beta Fire Crusader Torment 4-6 - YouTube
One of the very top builds from beta, and the spenders are irrelevant, that's how op the proc is :)

As you can see, it relies entirely on your ability to stand on the other side of the Elite/boss/pack. I was curious to know if Trinity, or any combat routine, would be able to recongnize the chain and try to use it to dps, or at least run around elites when the proc is up.

I believe DHs have a similar gameplay with a rune that creates a Firechain between them and their sentries, so it could be used for them too.
I would love to learn to do it myself but I have 0 coding or programming experience and I'm lost :p

Thanks for the great crusader support btw \o/
