Creating Loot Pickup Rules for everyone! Just need some input

I've got it down pretty well, but it is picking up some things I think could roll well... But what is your opinion on the following


- It does not pick up ANY 2h rare weapons (inc bows)

- It DOES pick up 1h rare ranged weapons ilvl 61+ (I was thinking of making this ilvl 63, or none at all)

- It does not pick up rare shields

- It does not pick up armor below ilvl 63

- It picks up rings/Ammys 60+



This is strictly for the pickup.dis file... I'll get around to loot rules eventually, but currently I'm using the default "Soft" loot rules, along with my custom pickup.dis

So Any opinions on specific items it should or should not pick up? I've given you a basic idea of what it does and doesn't above.

Once this forum has helped me polish it a bit more, I'll release it for free. :)
 
Here is a list of things not currently picked up by the bot, that you MAY want it to pick up....

- Armbands, ArmGuards, (ilvl 58-61 bracers)
- Kurastian Asp (Just updated to pick up Demi Lich, Orbit Stones, and Unspeakable Thing)
- ilvl 61-62 armor (includes class specific) (Just updated to pick up iLvl 61/62 gloves)


We're gonna get pretty specific, so let me know your thoughts. :)

Well you've all been very helpful... I guess I'll just keep it to myself, because you've all got your own.
 
Could you somehow tell the bot to only stash a Skorn with LS, or Double Socketed Manticores? Things along those lines? Tiered of finding 1100~ DPS Skorns and Manticores with 1 socket or no LS -.-, /endrant.
 
Once I've got the pickup rules down, I will be moving to the loot rules to create rules that really do keep things that will sell, I'll try to make sure you've got at least 10 sellable items per day... Things that you can really start moving.
 
At this point, I would be interested in a profile that only picks up items worth 100+ million.
 
You may want to check out the pickup.dis located in my loot rules (link in my signature), the current beta is a little more tight but most of the theory crafting you seem to do is already there :)

That said, pickup rules only do "so much" for the items you find a day, more items picked up means more time in town and hereby less efficient farming. The downside of it is of course you may miss out on items that could have had value so it stays a hard call what to call "best".

I personally have my loot rules as tight as i feel safe with (Beta version is more tight than current public one, i hope to release this one today :)), you might use it for inspiration.
 
As far as my pickup rules go, I've gone mostly with ignoring them through name, because using "rare" and "rare4" doesn't seem to get recognized... But I've got myself and one other person testing it and it seems to pick up exactly what I would want, and exactly what I don't want... Is there a good place to host a file that is safe, and not going to spam people with too many ads?
