Creating Hotspots for grinding profile?

Hello how do I do this? I have gone onto developer mode but clicking generate hotspot does nothing.

I have found a way to do it, its by selecting a mob and clicking on get vendor info. then cutting out his location and putting it as a hotspot.

Whats the proper way to do it?
