Hi!

I purchased a trial version yesterday, 1 session/3 days. Demonbuddy immediately crashed at start; when I tried to launch again, it said "max number of sessions reached" so I never actually got to try it.
a) any ideas what caused the crash, for my reference? (there's a thread a couple posts down with a similar issue, I've already taken note but since I appear to have reached this "maximum number of sessions"...)
b) when I buy 1 session, whether a 3-day trial or a lifetime, does it mean that I only get to launch DB once? What happens if I have to reboot my comp? And if sessions are actually accounts, why couldn't I launch DB again?
Not too bothered about losing that trial (I'm out 1 euro but I'll live) but I'd like to know what went wrong before I try again ;).

Thanks! :)

Greetings! :)

1 session / 3 day key, means you can only be logged in 1 session at a time. If it is logging in and crashing, it is still showing you logged in 1 session so when you try to log in again you get: max sessions.. You can kill the sessions using buddy auth.

Now about your problem.
Quite possibly a dependency issue.. Some troubleshooting steps to try:

1- Click the install wizard link under this post
2- make sure you are logged into windows on an acct with admin prividlages
3- make sure you are running both d3 and db as administrator
4- do a fresh install of DB using the latest stable version .exe installer
5- make sure you have exceptions setup for DB in your firewall, antivirus and malware programs.

Appreciate the help, thanks! I'll give it a shot again then. :)

No problem.. Let me know if that gets you running..
All good now, thanks again! :D

Side note: if I open Trinity twice without restarting DB in-between, DB crashes. Not sure if it's on Trinity or DB's side?
