CR bans lately?

So you're saying the account that he had the character in that guild as GM was a whole separate account from his main one? As in different account name and log in but maybe on same Bnet? I guess I can kinda see them going after accounts that are connected to starting the guilds with G Banks that are collecting botted mats. But if his main account was not connected to that guild, then that means they were tracking the herbs that you were trading to him.

I've seen this before with gold and Kronos on Everquest. They can see transactions between characters so the whole theory of trading character to character rather than using mail being safer is not always so. Typically they don't go through this much trouble as it requires sifting through a lot of logs, but if they're main targets right now are farmers which it certainly seems to be, then it's very possible that they're following the mats and gold rather than simply cutting off the farm account. I was banned before on an EQ account because I bought platinum and the farmer I purchased from got tagged. I've just never seen it actually happen in WoW before

If this is what's actually happening ( again personal speculation ), then it may be risky times to even buy gold or other mats / items from the trading sites right now. If farmers are selling gold for cheaper than the exchange rate on WoW tokens which seems to be the case when I just browsed a couple auctions, this might be pushing Blizzards hand to go these extra steps if they're losing subscription money from people buying WoW tokens with funds that are coming from outside sources.

I stopped botting wow all together 2 ban waves ago. The last 2 I received were for using CR only. Interrupts by hand and no pvp. No gold selling and no farming. I saw the writing on the wall the last banwave before Legion was released. I'm playing FF XIV now and much happier. You have to be a complete retard or sell gold to get banned in that game. Even then , I think they only suspend.
so you are playing that game or botting it?

Just reading this forum, thought I would clear a few things up..... please correct me if I am wrong but this is my understanding.

1. Blizzard has always been after honorbuddy. (All bots) looks way back at glider.......
2. We got hit by a ban wave - been happening for a while now.
3. Gold has always sold below the tokens. - Blizzard never liked anyone making gold for there game even before Tokens.
4. the update after the first most recent ban wave was kinda flagged as unsafe as they said they were unsure how it was caught. The second ban wave allowed them to find out how and secure it. <--- correct me if I am wrong.
5. if you inject honorbuddy you are as at much risk as anyone else who has injected it not matter what you are doing including CRs for a detection ban.... Don't point the finger you are still botting with a CR. Cheating is cheating.
6. face-palm

Yeah, that about sums it up. We all take the same risks, however they are going to extra lengths to hit the farmers right now though. Yes, it's always been against the game policy to sell gold and Blizzard never liked it, but now it effects their cash flow with the tokens, not just the in game economy. I'm not calling the kettle black and saying farmers are ruining HB for the CR players, just stating the current events of things. There probably wouldn't be an HB if it wasn't for the thousands of licenses that the farmers buy from them. It's also against their policy to sell and trade accounts but seem to be letting that slide these days. I would guess they would probably rather have someone pick up extra accounts and keep the subscriptions of those who are quitting and leaving the game rather than just lose the sub. I only say this because I've seen some pretty sloppy practices on the trading sites lately like listing the actual Bnet Armory on accounts for sale. Several years ago, they would catch this and kill those accounts as I think they used to have a team or maybe just some ambitious employees sifting through those sites. At the end of the day, they are a for profit company. Image is big thing for any company so most won't allow things which damage that image or effect other players which may cause them to leave, but things that effect their cash flow or profit margin will be most aggressively dealt with.

Why are they targeting everyone then?
for example other CR's only bots banned recently? - many of them - some getting banned monthly for months. (Go have a look)

They are after everyone who cheats.

PVP cr's stop legit players from progressing <-- stops legit players playing.
PVE cr's take legit players places in raids <-- stops legit players playing.

Great example is CSGO MM <--- look how ruined this game is with cheaters.

We all impact the game.

I didn't say they weren't. This has always been the case, hence the term "ban wave" as it keeps coming in certain frequencies. What I said was that are currently going to extra lengths to really hit the farmers at the moment and I suspected that this extra effort could be birth of lost revenue from subscriptions. I know some CRs using are posting that their use of the bot is less impacting and that the farmers ruin it for them. You'll notice if you look at my posts, I've never taken that stance. I understand I'm cheating. I will continue to do so as well. I enjoy playing the game with CR and not without it. Yup, it costs me a couple hundreds bucks each time I get a ban because I go buy a new geared character of of Player Auctions often times that is far better than the one I just lost ( bonus I got to upgrade! ). In 2013 I spent just over $11,000 in my local bar and casino ( I track every expenditure on my bank and credits cards for tax purposes since I'm in outside business sales ). I took a break from WoW that year and ended up acting like I was in my early 20s again... lol. 2016 is almost over and I've spent less than $1,000 in bars and haven't been to a casino at all. Spending a thousand or two on a accounts in a year leaves me well in the green if it keeps me entertained at home the way I see it. My wrist gets a terrible pain from button mashing and I want to be a productive DPS member for my guild. This is what I enjoy, I've measured the costs, and I know the risks. It's worth it to me.

This is still possible so I'm not going to say it isn't. No one really knows for sure at the moment. This just doesn't explain why farmers are being wiped out right now and CR / levelers aren't. Again, I'm not trying to call the kettle black here. Botting is botting and we all assume the risk so I don't see farmers as "worse botters" than me since I only like to use the CR for optimized raid DPS. All I'm trying to say is if it's still the HB attachment process itself that's doing it, it doesn't make sense that all HB wouldn't be getting hit in these follow up bans. Something right now is singling out the farmers and it's not the memory injection
I have only been using CR for years playing in a top guild. nothing else not even once.
still got banhammerd

Yes, everyone regardless of how you use it gets hits in a detection wave. My point is that all of the recent sparatic bans seem to be farmers.

If and when they are able to detect HB, the second you attach it to the WoW client you are flagged. It makes absolutely no difference what you do after that. For other instances of bans during the times that HB is believed to be "safe", then that is more likely reports and other direct observations of people using it. It is very easy to spot bot farmers. Especially on the higher population servers when you end up with trains of bots all farming the same path.
