CPU For 25 bots

i run 8350 with 10 bots, cpu usage 40% , the big factor is the ram, 16gb without using my cleanmem is risky as sometimes it will crash clients due to zero memory being available

Almost any modern graphics card will be able to do the job as long as you don't go too cheap.
If you want to run 25 bots you should use an enthusiast chip like the new 8 core haswell.
A top end consumer chip might be able to handle it if you optimize everything perfectly but it would probably be cutting it very close.
I've also found that WoW likes to have 2gb of ram per client, I don't know what will happen if you try to run 25 WoWs on 8 gigs of ram.

Are you sure that you are actually running them with Dungeonbuddy and you didn't pause them or such lol.

I don't get it why your cpu is so low while with me 10 Dungeonbuddies will often spike to 90% on particular fights.

Perhaps something wrong with my cpu :(

Well I just done some benchmarks on my 2600k@4,5Ghz with the free 30 day trial software from PassMark Software - PC Benchmark and Test Software and the score was 10600 points, which is higher than a 4770k on base stock.

I guess my cpu isn't broke, but there is something good about your cpu or other hardware, perhaps even your software. I don't know.

It isn't just WoW, because HB too has a habit of using a lot of cpu when using Dungeonbuddy.

Thanks, this is really useful, I'll probably get the 8350 once the time comes then, as it looks like it is capable of running 20+ bots. Is your 8350 on turbo or overclocked, If so what to?
 
Overclocked to 4.5ghz on air, and no those are live they go up to 200,000k then drop back down thanks to cleanmem, best 5$ i've spent on a program for my computer so far. The limiting factor is still ram though, the cpu seems to do just fine but you can only do about 14fps in the background, perhaps down to 8 if you want 25

What temps does it run at and which air cooler do you have?
 
If you run farclip below 500, youll run into problems after 6.0.2

Yeah I'll call bullshit on anyone claiming to run more than 20 on one PC (especially after 6.0.2) - proof or didn't happen.
They probably run like 10 and just because it runs smoothly they assume they can go to 20 without any issues... truth is - you can run 10 smoothly, add one and you will have bad FPS drops on every bot, add another one and your PC will keep freezing.

Atm 8 core bulldozer 3.6 with 16gb ram at "lower than low" can't even run 13 bots, and I doubt you could pass 20 even with one of most extensive CPU's available.
 
I have that problems, Before i can botting with +15 chars, after 6.02 my cpu get 95-99% with 5 bots (LOL) I think got fix:

Has someone try with vm ? Could be interesting to know how vm can be supported with new cpu gen

Can't handle more than 5 cloned virtual machine running wow + hb with my setup, i7 2600k too old i guess

Uh... if you run 10 on a cheap computer, then why not just buy two more of those cheap computers and save some money?
