First of all, if I am wrong or this is not possible please one of the Devs just Delete, Close, or Move the thread as you see fit. I don't want this to deteriorate into the usual "Blah Blah Blah" threads.

Since HB injects its API into WoW is it possible for them to create a call in their code that calls some obscure function in HB API from their end, sit and wait and see what accounts respond to the call? HB publishes the API publicly, so it's pretty easy to a hold of most everything that they we need (Not that not making it public would help since it would be easy enough for them to buy a couple of HB keys which I'm fairly sure they already have). Just asking.

To inject api calls into HB they would have to detect HB first, so they'd already have HB by the balls at that point.
 
What if I were to tell you they knew what was going on years ago and could have done something, but any decision made by Blizzard is directly reflected to a financial aspect.
 
Basically, if something is public, it can be detected within hours if Blizzard so chooses to put their resources there.
 
If they wanted too they could download HB themselves and have a look at it.
 
HB has never been detected nor has it ever been detected banwaves are the users fault always has been. HB is the most undetected software ever. I used it for 10 years and still strong 10 years so all up 20 years

giving out bad information is only harmful to the community.

Doesn't make any sense. Why would they fight in front of court, which costs a lot of money, if they could've already hammered us all?
 
Here is what Punkbuster shares what it is able to do on it's website, if you think Blizzard can't do the same thing you're foolish.

-Real-time scanning of memory by PB Client on players' computers searching for known hacks/cheats
-Throttled two-tiered background auto-update system using multiple Internet Master Servers to provide end-user security ensuring that no false or corrupted updates can be installed on players' computers
-Frequent status reports (highly encrypted) are sent to the PB Server by all players and the PB Server raises a violation when necessary which causes the offending player to be removed from the game and all other players are informed of the violation
-PB Admins can also manually remove players from the game for a specified number of minutes or permanently ban if desired
-PB Servers can optionally be configured to randomly check player settings looking for known exploits of the game engine
-PB Admins can request actual screenshot samples from specific players and/or can configure the PB Server to randomly grab screenshot samples from players during gameplay

HB injects INTO WoW, wow is not capable of injecting into anything. so its not possible.

I am afraid the Blizzard's past history confirmed the opposite!

They are 100% delivering bans, to anyone caught or detected into exploitative activities in a timely fashion (2-3 weeks, a month max!)

If you have dodged to find it by yourself, check all the past WoW banwaves, recent and not so recent in the last 2 years:

PQR/PE banwave 530k accounts down (Some dodged with 72hrs), Rollback exploit banwave 100k+ closed, Pirox Archa banwave 50k+ closed (not quite sure for the numbers here)

Each of them but PQR one (which is 4-5 times more) is comparable in the numbers with 13.05, but every time they get hands server side on data for "detection" or around, they ACT MERCILESS in 100% of the cases!

No need to mention, that with every banwave, they increase their reputation amongst the bot-haters, and "convince" quite a few of them to resub too!

Yes but it's worth remembering that laws have changed since then. Blizzard for a slap on the wrists not to long ago because of privacy.

We may never really know what happened but it's very unlikely it was detecting .DLL injections.

I understand the difference, I have a lot of experience in this area though.
 
nah brooo they detect us obviously they will give majority of people a few weeks/months to feel safe, purchase WoD then perma ban your new account. By then your previous 6 month banned account will be back up and ready to play so you'll resub and play legit for maybe a few weeks but decide to go back to botting with HB again after you feel safe. Then a few months goes back and you get perma banned on your account. RIP the cycle continues! Kappa Kappa
 
It's not detected, at least not in a continuous state. I last botted in late March and wasn't banned at all. Like many others I have now been botting multiple accounts up to farm and no bans. If it was truly detected, they would just be banning these accounts in 24-48 hours to slam their dicks on the table and show HB that it's over, but that's not happening. I think what the Buddy team put forward may be true, that they really did scan our computers to see what processes were active and ban based off of that. They can't do this often, once was enough for them to get their point across, and not to mention if it was discovered they could be facing a huge lawsuit. I may be talking out of my ass, but in my mind it seems feasible.

That is correct, under constitutional law, there exists a principle that excludes unlawfully obtained evidence in a court.
 
I love to read Threads like this Lets Give Blizzard Idea's. Cause Im sure they come here to read up. The HonorBuddy Devs WILL NEVER Give out some Answers cause they dont want Blizzard to know. Yeah we can Find out some facts about how Honorbuddy works but only after doing some homework on it but why do the homework and then post on a public forum for all to see. Its like Robing a bank then Putting it on your facebook status with ur address.

its certainly not continuous, and Blizzard is playing it smart, most game companies institute auto-ban-on-detect. Blizzard compiles a list and and then executes; that is the ONE certainty.
