Constantly dying with mage.

Hey everyone. Just wondering what your experience was botting with mage, without gear. I thought mage would actually be much easier, but I was way wrong, my rogue did much better, and warlock did literally 4-5x better. Does mage require a good cc, or profile in order to not die? So far I've gotten from 1-10, took very long, since the bot would die all the time level 6+. Now that I'm in westfall, the bot is still dying pretty often. Just wondering if anyone else has had problems botting a mage, or if it's just me and I need to get a better profile or cc haha.

Mages and Rogues have both been troublesome in my experience. Any class with a pet, or can take a few hits does much better.

You may already be doing this, but two suggestions that will ease a bot mage's life:

1. Spec Frost
2. Use the Amplify CustomClass
There are a couple of other mage CustomClasses that work great, but Amplify seemed to cause me the least grief at the time.​

do what chinajade suggested first. that's your best bet. i leveled my mage a long time ago via glider and it was pretty tough going til late in the game. hang in there, it's so worth it.

do you know what it is dying from? being over run by multiple mobs or just any of them killing you easily?

kickazz your profile is poo only joking but yeah if your using his 1-60 you wont get far it only really works for non squishy classes

Adds = Mage death, no matter how you slice it, what i suggest is use amplify, because i added options to use evocation on low health, and get the glyph to restore health, and that should help you out a lot. sometimes you may have to grind on green mobs till you can get out of that level range to skip the profile your on. some area's specially now since there's a lot of mobs being spawn camped by people leveling, makes it really easy for a mage to pick up adds on things that are spawning.

Ty all. I downloaded amplify, going to set it up now. Also not sure who's profile I'm using, and I usually does from either 1 add, or the enemy being 3 levels higher.

Btw if any of you could share what profile you use for alliance mage from 1-60, please let me know. Thanks lol.
