Considering Picking this Up Coming from ViperBot

While I agree that we don't really need one, I guess it'd be nice to have one to entice non-savvy potential customers.

Though with some revisions looking like overhauls every now and then it might get outdated really fast.

I assume the UI doesn't change?

I mentioned I currently used viperbot. There have been dosen's of revisions since that launched (and since the video tuts were posted) but the rules are still basically the same (in some cases fewer steps are necessary to do what you need to do).

It was just nice to see how the bot works, how the UI looks, etc. I didn't think my requests were so earthshattering lol.

Theres very little configuration required. Only stuff that needs to be setup is profiles, but there are plenty to download and a included tool to create your own profiles. No need to setup hotbars, define keys etc.

You're actually right, I was thinking of custom plug-ins and routines.

I'm interested in picking up this bot too. Is the nav system customizable? I like to make my own patrols. Been using ViperBot for a while now, and the patrols are really easy to set up.

Going to try out the bot tomorrow. Is there anyway to change the nav for the FATE bot to prevent from grouping up with other bots or is the nav predetermined?

I believe Fatebot works like all the other options for Navigation. Just change pathing in Global settings

Finally picked this up.

Have some kinks to work out with fatebot... I have it set to do fates minimum 20 and maximim +10 but it is skipping some fates (that aren;t blacklisted). Still not sure why....

I slsected random pathing. I assume that is hte best choice for such a thing as fates?

Once I figure some stuff out I will probably make some videos. Maybe I am an idiot. Nothing is as intuitive as people seemed to imply lol.

If the bot can't navigate to the FATE, it'll autoblacklist it without adding it to the manually added blacklist. This will not persist to new sessions of the bot so you can just close and rerun it if you want it to attempt to navigate to those FATEs again. I'm not sure if Random pathing is what's causing it, though I have no problems on my side on my chosen zone.

If you look at your log when the bot first sees if it can do the fate, you can see the reason its not running to it. As Klacid said, usually its because of problems navigating. The navigation is getting better over time; used to be a lot more fates that were unreachable.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask. I guess the bot doesn't hold your hand with a tutorial... but its not exactly rocket science. Or even Algebra I.
