I've noticed that my entire computer has started drastically slowing down to the point of it locking up while I'm using ArcheBuddy. I run the game through the account manager (did it through the launcher to see if that would make a difference) but still get the same result. I haven't used any other plugins aside from the Scarecrow one that comes pre-loaded, will test others later tonight or tomorrow.

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit with 6 gb ram, a quad core AMD with 2.60 GHz and a Nvidia GTX 570. I first encountered this problem after I had to re-install ArcheBuddy due to some strange error where I tried to launch updater.exe and it told me the program was not compatible with my version of Windows.

I can play AA and other games fine without similar results, so I'm fairly certain there's something my computer isn't liking with AB ever since I re-installed. Any help is welcome, I'd like to have this figured out. If anything else is needed from me to facilitate this just ask. Thanks.

EDIT: Just to clarify, it only locks up when ArcheBuddy is actually planting/gathering/whatever with the Scarecrow plugin. I have said plugin set to start automatically but it only becomes an issue when I start it on a task.

Do you have any antivirus running that might be causing issues?

i know that AA has a few problems causing weird issues when being run multiple times (even my virtual machine will hard reset now and then) but never under a few hours let alone a few minutes.

I never personally used scarecrow beyond initial testing, so i cannot vouch for stability, but considering i havent seen many complains about it, i doubt the plugin itself is at cause. More realistically its something on your configuration that doesnt like something AB / AA / Scarecrow does (antivirus is the highest potential suspect)

I use BitDefender. AB has been added to the exceptions list and, although I have to turn it off if I need to re-install, once the .exe gets in the folder I have setup it's all good. I'll try turning my anti-virus off and running it just to be sure.

Right, sorry for the delay. Had some IRL things to take care of. Tried running it without the AV on and re-installed AB once more for good measure. This time it actually just froze up 20 seconds after the game was on the character select while I was alt tabbed. I don't know what changed but it seems it got worse.

Try to update your drivers and .net version just to be sure thats not the problem.
