Hey guys I know that these topics pop up all the time, but I was wondering if someone would be able to help me out with a computer build (Head to toe). I am looking preferably for an AMD processor based on the price point and this is going to be purely a botting computer so I don't want to be spending a fortune, especially on graphics etc which I wont be using for high FPS or HD movies.

I don't have a budget, so don't worry about the price point, although I have read quite a few times you should be able to build this for around $500-600

Any help is much appreciated and proper thanks will be given of course :)

Its CPU and Ram you need.
I'd recommend
AMD FX6300 - It has 6 cores, sure the intel wins core vs core but wow doesnt need much to run in min res and low graphics.
At least 8GB of Ram, Depends on the cost maybe go 12gb or 16gb (Dual channel is over rated, just make sure it works)
For graphics card i'd recommend anything cheap, I run 4-5 on an ATI 5570 which is like 2-3 years old without lag and low load. It was $70 back in the day.

Thanks for some info Rabbit, I have already checked out similar parts that you listed. But I meant a head to toe recommendation (cooling, fan, case, motherboard etc).

Its a bit hard for me to give you a list since I have no idea where you live and what parts are for sale. I'll try anyway.

CPU: AMD FX 6300
RAM: Get any 8gb DDR3 or more if you want. (Doesnt matter just get any DDR3)
MB: ASRock 970DE3-U3S3 Motherboard (I have it, seems solid. Just need an AM3+ socket MB, DDR3. Anything will do)
Case: CoolerMaster Elite 335U with 420W (Try find one with a PSU, anything over 300-400 watts is perfect.
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GT 630 2GB (Or any card under $100 but more than like $60 or so)
HDD: Any 200GB+ Sata3 drive. I buy Western Digital.

Hope that helps.

600-700w psu 40-60
decent mobo/cpu combo ~150-200
do NOT skimp on the cooling ~50-100
cheap tower ~40-100
cheap dvd burner ~20
120 ssd ~60-100
16gb ddr3 (ram) ~60-80
video card ~100-300

that is what I would get ... u can go with cheaper stuff, but don't skimp too much or you'll have to replace it within a year or 2 instead of 5-8 years

Thanks for the help guys, do you guys find there is a specific website that usually sells for less? I know kickazz showed a build where everything was ordered from amazon but I know lots of other people order from newegg.

I usually use newegg, but if amazon has it for cheaper... i'll buy it from there.

Amazon's 'sorting' methods suck ... but neweggs are AMAZING! Newegg also has a lot more feedback vs amazon (as a lot of ppl who use amazon are retards, or just don't give feedback)

95% of the time, if it's a computer item ... i went to newegg first

I rarely order from tigerdirect, I usually only check them after I have checked newegg and amazon ... i'll check tigerdirect (usually 10% higher or more than newegg, as well as I get taxed here in Tx from TigerDirect, I don't usually get taxed from newegg or amazon since most products aren't in texas)

I suggest you just get firehack and turn off all the rendering, it can triple the amount of bots you can run.

I'll shop around on prices for sure, I just wanted to know what a pro thought about the setup :)

Actually I have no idea why everyone there suggested so expensive computers.. I bought myself just i3-2120T with some cheap Gigabyte motherboard, 8gb RAM.. Yes, no additional graphic card, just the integrated one.. And I am running win 7 + 8 bots "just fine".. One notice: this is only used as server for bots, i have my second computer for work/games etc..

Just optimize your system, cut down wow to minimum and you are good to go..

EDIT: Forgot about HDD.. I am using my old WD Raptor with 10K RPM althou this is a very noisy solution, would suggest getting SSD if you will have that computer somewhere around you..

Btw: This computer is taking somewhat about 80 watts/hour which is awesome too :-)

Use the website i linked below to help you find the best prices on the gear your looking for. I've been building my own PCs for years and helping others as well. If u want let me know ur price and I'll see what I can come up with.

My recent computer I built is a i5 3570k with a GTX 670 and it plows through WoW with over 100 FPS

Just do what I do....

1) Save as much as you can
2) Save more money after youve saved as much as you can
3) Ask parents, gf, friends to borrow some money
4) Buy the most expensive amd processor
5) Ask the seller how much ram can the mother board (that fits with your amd procesor) can handle and buy the cheapest brand of ram
6) Cheapest HDD
6) Buy the video card with the rest of your money (hopefully 1gb or better *fingers crossed*)
7) Dont buy software and install it yourself (if you know what I mean)
8) Live happily ever after
