Comparison number of bots, gold per day

Hi all,

i've been botting for a while now and had a short break of a time. A month ago i started farming again.

I asked myself if the amount of gold i get is average or good or whatever and just wanted to ask you, how much you make with how many bots.

Actually i have 3 bots, 2x herbalism 1xmining

I sell all my stuff directly to others..that's why i sometimes make less gold compared to the ah but i do sell everything i have every day. My experience is that if you farm every day you will farm more than you are able to sell via ah...so the only way is selling to players directly for cheaper prices.

With this 3 bots i am farming about 20 hours every day. For this month now i made about 100k gold with 2-3 days where i didn't bot at all.

Would be interesting if some of you could share the same information..and if you make a lot more gold perhaps tell me how you handle it.

I make 1-2k a day botting for about 8 hours on a heavily populated server with a lot of other bots. I'd say you're doing great, haha.
 
Just with 1 bot or several? If it is only 1 i'd say that is a good amount. If i take mine..100.000gold : 30days that is about 3300 Gold a day...and that with 3 bots farming 20 hours each oO.
 
thing i don't get with farmers who make like 1-2k a day { only applies to those who don't sell gold }

how do you make a profit?

accounts at the minimum cost 70$ to create + 10 or more days depending if you bot or etc

1-2k thats 2-4 dollars a day

if you use 1 bot thats about 120k gold / month at $2 per k is 240 dollars a month

but there is a very very high chance of being banned so if you sell lets say 50k thats 100 dollars, but you lose 70 from the account and money paid for the bot =\
 
Because I play the game for fun? xD

With a job I'm not online very often, so I bot, and when I do come online it's nice to have a bunch of mats to put up for sale etc.
 
eventually, since you don't have to pay for the account monthly, you pay it off, then you make a profit. I myself only pay monthly for WoW, I bought GB lifetime, thats how you make a profit.
 
The problem is that its harder to make gold now at this point in wotlk and the poor gold market makes it pretty difficult to make it profitable. I know a few people myself included, who bot purely to fund a main account. Back before they made the changes to frost lotus I was bringing in over 70k a week (up to around 100 max, but that was pretty rare) from 3 bots. Now with just 1 I'm making about 1k from selling saronite bars and then whatever from eternals - Id say another 2k.

Also by harder I mean there isn't nearly the same demand and prices have really gone downhill..at least on my server.
 
you can pay the account off IF it doesnt get banned

and you should log onto trade chat..

a sites selling $1.00/1k along with cheap BoEs LOL!

I make close to 10k / day with 1 bot and all he is doing is herbing. I have no clue how you only make 3k a day. It didnt take me long to find private buyers that need flask mats, I sell the herbs at what I know are very very fair prices compared to the market. On my server Lichbloom spikes up to around 60g per stack and I sell mine for 35g because at its low point lichbloom is down to around 45g per stack. Frost lotus I sell for 10-12g each and eternal life 20g each, all other northrend herbs 20g / stack. If herbs drop down to being cheaper I start milling them and selling inks.
 
The prices on your server are a lot higher then on my server.

On my server i get:

15-25g for each Frostlotus
15-35g for Lichbloom stack
12-20g for Eternal life
~10g stack all the rest

My problem is..do i only sell via auction house i get more gold BUT sell less cause i can't create thousands of auctions every day..so i have to sell via /2 to direct buyers. They pay very less gold compared to the auction house but they buy everything i have.

My bots are optimized for botting, they all have good gear, fast mounts, optimized farming profiles. Now 2 of my chars have both herbalism+mining and they both get arround 2800+ nodes in about 20 hours. I think that this is a good value. I guess my server is just overfarmed and there are too many botters and "i wanna reach goldcap*yay*" people :D

For example i know about 10-15 people botting and another 10 that just make gold with cheap buying and expensive selling..so it is a very hard fight for prices in the auction house.

@beefcake how much nodes is your char farming per x hours? Would be interesting to know.
 
I am not sure how many nodes per hour OR how to find out that information. I would really love to know. I did delete my badnodes file and found out that I was skipping a TON of nodes. Ran it for over 20 hrs and only have 3 bad nodes added to the list.

I really like the profile for stormpeaks and I rotate 1 day in storm peaks for 20 hrs, down for 4 while I am sleeping. (make sure it stops botting by itself so that it closes down about 4 hrs before I wake up. Start it first thing when I wake up on the "safe" profile to gather random herbs. I am down to about 7k a day now because darkmoon is about to happen and most people have already bought all the herbs they wanted for the insane title. I hope that after the faire comes out that prices skyrocket because people that didnt know it was coming will want to buy stuff. I have private buyers but I hate changing prices on them and when lich is selling for 60g a stack I like to keep them happy at 35g a stack so that when its selling for 40g a stack they dont complain and keep buying from me. I have even had it where the price dropped on frost lotus to 8g each and my buyers were wanting to keep paying me 12g each because they said they value our relationship lol.
 
you must be using Reviir's profile. otherwise i find it hard you're getting 140 nodes/hour
 
If you did only 100k per month with 3 bots, then something is wrong. I can make close to 400k with 3 bots up ;)
 
So to the people botting 2-3 accounts at once im guessing you all are botting on 2-3 different realms? or all 2-3 bots on the same realm?
 
I am botting with 3 bots on 1 realm. There is no other way to deliver big orders in short time then with several bots.

I deleted the badnodes file as it was very big..i am sure my bots missed a lot of nodes -_- now it works a lot better and i get more nodes. But like i said in another post before my server is overfarmed..herbs are worthless..for example i have a contact that buys all my stuff and i only get
2400g for 12 stacks of frostlotus
2400g for 12 stacks of eternal life
144g for 12 stacks of saronite
its not that much but i via auction house i cannot sell such big amounts.

To see how many nodes your bot has gathered you have to close gatherbuddy and open the logfile in the gatherbuddy folder..scroll down to the end there is something like "gathered xxx nodes in xx hours xx minutes xx seconds".

I don't think you can compete with the prices of some of these gold farmers. I don't even think they bot to get their goods and they definitely don't manually farm them. I think most of them phish accounts and steal others' gold.
 
Sure i can! Don't want to advertise..just as an comparison..that is what i sell gold for:

if i compare this with gold prices from websites randyrun/..... it is a lot cheaper. Sure i can't offer the same amount of gold as they do..but i am only 1 person. A lot of gold that is sold from those gold websites comes from botters.
 
i run 5 bots 12 hours evry day (almost) and they make about 10k in total
 
Do you run them all on the same server/faction? I just leveled an alliance toon on the same server and am in the process of 2 more (1 per faction) to help. I dont like split farming, meaning I mine only or herb only. So 2 farmers I think is plenty unless you are wanting to make some huge orders of specific types. I ran last night for about 4 hrs and got over 50 stacks of cobalt which is selling for about 3g/ore right now. so selling at 2.5g/ore to sell faster = 2500g in 4 hrs. botting 20 hrs = 12500g.

Obviously this is not actual gold until someone buys the ore but just saying. I am trying to stockpile gold right now for cata release. If I were you guys I wouldnt be selling any gold. As soon as cata comes out prices for all the newely farmed herbs/ores will skyrocket with people trying to level professions and the only way to stay ahead of the market is to control the AH with botting/AH buying/selling tactics. This will require alot of gold on hand to control the AH, but in the end you will end up gold capping many toons and be able to turn a large profit by selling gold to buyers.

The only thing you risk while stockpiling gold for cata though is a possible ban with all that gold. It wouldn't feel good to get banned with a huge stockpile. Also no official date has been set for cata my guess is it won't be until december if not january.
